The 3 Pillars Of Success Mastery

The 3 Pillars Of Success Mastery

Thanks for being a regular visitor to my blog and for reading my posts

I hope that you are taking these lessons to heart and putting them into action.

I want you to be successful and there was never a better time to do it than right now.

However, you will only achieve what you have earned through having the right mindset, the right strategy, and learning the right skills.

I created a thinking framework that simplifies understanding what it takes to be successful.

I call it the Three Pillars of Success Mastery.

Let me share it with you.

If you want to be successful in any area of your life, you have to MASTER three things.

1.    The first Pillar of Success Mastery is to Master Yourself.

You have to get control over your actions, your thoughts, and your schedule to even stand a chance at ever being successful.

Most people fail because they either give up, don't work hard enough, don't want to make sacrifices, or can't keep a positive mindset. It's a fact.

You have to decide what is important to you and then carve out the time in your schedule to show how important it is.

If you can't find time for your business, but have time to watch television or browse social media, then you don't REALLY want an online business. That is a choice you make in your head.

If you quit working on your business, or jump from program to program, that is a problem with your thinking.

When someone has mastery over themselves, then they can get up early and stay up late if that is what is necessary for success. They can quit television and other entertainment to devote their time and energy on accomplishing their goals. They keep going even when most people would have quit because they know that success isn't easy and "get rich quick" is a myth. They can get themselves to put in the work.

2.    The second pillar of Success Mastery is to Master Your Strategy and Foundations.

You can work really hard and be completely committed to success, but if you are using the wrong strategy, then success will never come.

You can spend months and years climbing the ladder of success only to find out just when you are almost at the top that it is leaning against the wrong wall and it just came tumbling down.

If you were trying to lose weight and your strategy was to eat a gallon of ice cream each day, then you would probably not reach your goal. That is a bad strategy.

If you want reliable online income, then the best strategy is to build an audience of people who know, like and trust you. Then you can sell things to that audience. That is a winning strategy. Trying to sell to strangers (most people's strategy) is a bad idea.

You need to constantly be upgrading your strategy and knowledge of how marketing really works so that you can master the second pillar.

3.    The third pillar of Success Mastery is that you need to Master Key Skills.

You can work hard (Pillar 1) and be following a good strategy (Pillar 2) and still not be successful if you don't know how to execute that strategy.

For example, if your strategy was to build a big email list, send them emails to educate and motivate them and then sell to them, but you don't know how to write emails that are compelling and informative, you are doomed to failure. You are missing that key skill.

If you want to build an audience on YouTube but have no idea how to make a video, then you strategy isn't going to work.

The great thing about Pillar # 3 is that you can learn any key skill that you need to be successful.

Want to write more compelling emails?

Read a book on copy-writing by Dan Kennedy, John Carlton or Gary Halbert.

Take a course on writing emails by Andre Chaperone.

Get a coach or a mentor.

You can learn anything ... if you commit the time to do it.

Most people don't want to do this part because they don't like to learn. Learning new skills seems boring and it takes time to see results. That may be true, but the reality is that time is going to go by anyway. 6 months from now, you could have learned a new skill and gotten results, or you could have wasted your time and money on 5 new "money making opportunities" that didn't pan out. Improving yourself pays off forever.

The Three Pillars of Success Mastery dictates that the amount of success you achieve in life will be held back by whatever pillar you have the lowest level of mastery at. You need to identify which Pillar is the cause of your low performance and focus your energy on improving that area first.

If you are working hard and staying focused, but not getting results, then the problem is probably with Pillar # 2 (Strategy) or Pillar # 3 (Key Skills).

If you can only find 2 hours a week to work on your business, then your problem is definitely with Pillar # 1 (Master Yourself).

Which Pillar is holding you back? What are you going to do to improve that area?

Who Said It'd Be Easy?

It's not easy
It's hard to change your life
I'm talking about the problem in your life
I don't know how you're handling it but you just have to handle it
because the problem will not just go away on its own,

you've got to handle it.

You can't sleep it away,
you can't drink it away;

you'll wake up from your sleep and it's right there beside you starring you in the face
tormenting you

You'd become sober after your drunken stupor and it will be right there hurting you the more; it's always tugging at the very fabric of your soul, you wish it's not there but anywhere and everywhere you look, it's waving at you and tormenting you

So I'm telling you today to DEAL with your problem;

and the sooner you deal with it, the sooner you get your rewards,

the sooner you get on the other side of it, the sooner you begin to feel fulfillment

The sooner you get on the other side of your problem, the sooner you'd be on the side of self-actualization and your dream becomes a reality

The sooner you get on the other side of your problem, the sooner you'd find out that there-in lies the world of success

The sooner you deal with the fact that you have anxieties, the sooner you'd be a free person

Deal with it, it's not the end of the world

Deal with the problem because when you do, you'd create a solution for it and you just get over it - Deal with it

That you and your children don't have the best of relationships - deal with it

Deal with the fact that you are procrastinating

Deal with the fact that it's hard for you to execute things

Deal with the fact that every time something happens, you're so worried about it

Deal with the fact that you have this attack of nerves (anxiety) every time you're about to reach another level of success

Deal with the fact that you're struggling with your success

Deal with the fact that you feel guilty that you're successful - deal with it

Start working on your dream

Most people don't work on their dreams because of either the fear of failure - they can't handle shame because they don't think it will work out - or fear of success - what if things work out and they can't handle it? -

Again most people don't work on their dreams because they become comfortable with who they are at the present time - that's their comfort zone -
they stop growing,
they stop working on themselves,
they stop stretching, they stop pushing themselves,
they stop expanding and start contracting and they end up becoming cynical about life and they then throw in the towel on themselves, on their family members, on their dreams.

And the other thing is that most people don't feel worthy of success because they did not have a College Degree or they take to heart what other people are saying to them and they do not believe in themselves and so they fail to act on their ideas.

Let  me tell you something my friend
All you need to achieve success is a belief in yourself and your capabilities and a belief in your Creator - Your Silent Senior Partner -

So it's possible for you to choose your future and to create it

but to do that, it's necessary for you to work on yourself and develop yourself
It's necessary that you get the energy drainers out of your life - people who don't want anything out of life, people who are not challenging themselves anymore,
people who are no longer striving,
people who have given up on life,
people who are not growing,
people who have stopped dreaming -
these are the energy drainers you need to extrude them out of your life
It's necessary that you align yourself with people who are hungry for success,
people who are unstoppable,
people who are refusing to live life just as it is (default mode), people who are asking more out of life,
people who would not take no for an answer.

There's this popular saying that "birds of the same feather flock together"

so if you run around with losers, you'll end up a loser.

It's necessary that you get the losers out of your life

If you want to change your life's default mode, it's necessary that you realize that no one is going to do that for you except you
And even though you face disappointments, even though you experience some set backs, it all comes with the territory.

If you are starting something new and you call for meetings and no one attends, even if someone says to you "count me in" and they don't come around, you won't just give up on yourself, you've got to continue believing in yourself, you've got to continue visioning your dreams and goals
and you've got to keep saying "It's never over until I win, until I succeed"

To succeed, you'll encounter difficulties, you'll meet obstacles, you'd fail severally, you'd be disappointed severally, even by your own family and trusted friends,
you'd suffer lots of setbacks,
you'd suffer anguish and pains, defeat will laugh at you most times

but if each you fall down, you rise again, you shall overcome.

The trials and temptations will teach you things that you didn't know you possessed like the fact that you have greatness inside of you,
the fact that you are powerful beyond measure
and the subtle fact that you're greater than your circumstances
and that you can't afford to go through life as if you were a victim when just a little more push would tilt you down the road to victory.

So I want to invite you right now to think about that your dream - yes that dream that won't let you have peace of mind,
that dream that won't let you sleep well,
that dream that makes your heart skip a beat, that dream that you wish you had all the money in the world to chase, pursue and close it in - yes that your dream

I want you to begin to envision it right now, visualize its completion, its attainment

How To Make Your Life Better

5 Things to Do Today to Make Your Life Better

You and I have spent the better part of our lives pursuing success, but we can’t change this eternal truth: The best things in life are (nearly) free. Good health, time with loved ones, relaxing with our pets, and the simple comfort of a cup of coffee at the kitchen table on a quiet Saturday morning…you don’t need to live in a palace to appreciate these things. It truly is the little things in life that matter the most.

There are also many things money can’t buy. For example, some of us have health issues, due to misfortune or genetics, that can’t be fixed no matter how much money we throw at them.

Some mornings we get up on the wrong side of the bed. Murphy’s Law applies to us too. Yes, even JTFBlog readers have struggles.

On those days we must turn to the scientifically proven rituals that are within our control and guaranteed to improve our well-being.

Here are 5 habits to do every day for a better life, and none of them cost more than a few dollars to get started.

1) Give Gratitude
Being grateful should not be limited to Thanksgiving. As The New York Timesreported, “having gratitude has been linked to better health, sounder sleep, less anxiety and depression, higher long-term satisfaction with life and kinder behavior toward others, including romantic partners.”

It’s tempting to let one’s cynical nature reject the idea. I almost did. I grew up relatively poor on a farm just outside of Stratford, a small city in Ontario, Canada. We lived frugally, wore hand-me-down clothes, and clipped coupons for groceries. This upbringing left me with a scarcity mindset until my early thirties. When I was first introduced to the concept of gratitude, I was skeptical and wanted to reject it. But I gave it a try and added daily gratitude journaling to my habits. It’s become one of the most important parts of my life, and will add to yours as well.

If you don’t already have a Gratitude Journal start one today. It takes just a few minutes to fill out. You’ll simply list the people, things, and activities you are grateful for, and the achievements you made each day. If you are going through any type of health, financial, or marital struggles, I promise gratitude journaling will give you the right perspective on life.

2) Meditate for Minutes
How much would you pay for a pill that promises less anxiety, more focus, improved patience, greater creativity, and a better memory, all without side effects?

All of these benefits are freely available to you through meditation.

It does not take long, nor is it difficult to experience the benefits. As little as a minute of slow, deep breathing calms you down and lowers blood pressure, and just a few minutes per day delivers an incredible return on investment. Click here for a 3-minute meditation program.

Admittedly, it’s not an easy habit to keep. I started and stopped several times before finally making meditation a daily habit in 2013 and it’s now been almost 1,000 days in a row I’ve meditated for at least 5 minutes. The secret is to effortlessly incorporate it into your daily routine, and that will likely mean doing it within the first thirty minutes of waking up.

Sit comfortably, either in a chair or on the floor (with your hips elevated on cushions to make it comfortable). Bend your arms, palms up, touch your index finger to your thumb, close your eyes, and breathe slow and deep. It’s okay if your mind races. If that happens, return your focus to your breathing.

When I began meditating, I counted the number of breaths, and tried to do one more breath each day. Do whatever it takes to get started, and eventually you’ll come to love the internal benefits of feeling calm and being better able to control your emotions.

Start with just a minute for the first few days. If you can go longer, that’s fine. Next week aim for two minutes. Build up to at least five minutes, and preferably 15-20 minutes per day. It will make a world of difference in your physical and mental health…for free.

3) Write a Thank You Card to Someone Every Day
My father, whom I loved dearly, was a bitter, jealous man, and I’ve fought all my life to escape the shadow of his demons. Two summers ago I found myself jealous over the success of a good friend. Feeling ashamed of these thoughts, I decided to turn bitter into better. Instead of envying my friend, I wrote him a note thanking him for being an industry leader and congratulating him on his success.

Writing the thank you card was a big mental breakthrough. It lifted a burden of guilt from my heart. A big smile crossed my face as I dropped it in the mail knowing it would arrive as a surprise. Now I write a thank you note every day because this little act of appreciation has made a big difference in my life.

4) The 3 E’s: Exercise, Eat Right, & be Early to Rise
We are incredibly fortunate to eat whatever and wherever we want. One of the greatest meals I ever had was a rich, five course lunch at the Antinori winery in Tuscany. But tempting as it might be, we can’t eat like that everyday. It’s fine to enjoy one or two meals of your favorite food and drink in moderate amounts each week, but history proves a rich diet is a recipe for gout, diabetes, and an early death. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to eat delicious meals made from nutrient dense, organic foods.

When it comes to exercise, you don’t need a $5,000 treadmill or $2,500 weight machine set-up in a dedicated home gym. You’ll look and feel better – and younger – from a simple program of walking and body weight exercises.

Finally, it pays to be Early To Rise. My longtime mentor and ETR’s founder, Mark Ford, shared one simple tip for giving me more energy. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. When I took Mark’s advice on this, after ignoring him for years, it was like finding the missing piece of my daily energy puzzle. Gone were the 2 o’clock energy slumps, the Monday morning blahs, and the desire to hit the snooze alarm. It’s so simple, yet so effective.

5) Think Big
You don’t have to be told this twice. As an ETR reader, you’re already successful, and you’ve been thinking big since the day you were born. But there are benefits to formalizing your big thinking.

James Altucher, best selling author of Choose Yourself, suggests writing down 10 big ideas every morning. I recommend doing this before or after your morning meditation session. All you need is a journal and a pen. Add this exercise to your day to ward off the complacency that might be creeping into your life. It will help you make big breakthroughs on any problems in your business and personal life.

These five activities remind me of my great fortune every day, give me the energy and enthusiasm to keep on pushing on during trying times, and form the foundation of my spiritual and physical wellbeing. I am a lucky man, fortunate to count you as a friend and to have had success in business, and these five habits remind me of that everyday. Add them to your daily routine and I know you’ll get as much from them as I do.

Take A Chance On Life

I know that a lot of people are passing through life filled with challenges.

Just when they have overcome one challenge, another shows up and all they find themselves doing is sorting out the issues of life and actually failing to live.

Life is not constructed that way.

Life is constructed in such a way that, you have only 70 years to live it out and by dint of hard work 80; anything on top of that is certainly a free gift; and if we have 70 years to be alive, then we cannot possibly have all the experiences of living this life; that is where learning by extension comes into play.

Whatever challenge you are passing through has already been appropriately overcome by someone else in the course of history and all you need to do is to find out who did and what s/he did to overcome that challenge.

It is foolhardy to want to overcome all the challenges in the world, simply because you want to have your own personal experience since they say that "experience is the best teacher" because, no one has all the time in this world to have all the experiences emanating from overcoming life's challenges.

You just have got to learn from others before you.

What is it that you are passing through right now?
Someone has crossed that Rubicon before now, search him or her out in the history books and apply exactly the solution they proffered in overcoming that challenge.

I speak from personal experience and that's why you just have to flow with this write up.

Use other person's experience to buffer up yours and then live your life to the hilt
That is all that matters

Have a good day today

Of Paradoxes And Problems!!!!

Do You Want Success?

Two Things Holding You Back in Life

Most people who want success in life don’t realize there are two obstacles they must first overcome.

These two obstacles are paradoxes and problems.

Seth Godin wrote about them on his blog:

A problem is open to a solution. That’s what makes it a problem.

A paradox, on the other hand, is gated by boundaries that make a solution impossible.

Making significant forward motion without offending anyone or exposing yourself to fear is a paradox.

But once you’re willing to relax those boundaries, it becomes a problem, one with side effects you’re willing to live with.

This got me thinking…

A lot of you reading this blog post are stuck in a paradox of some sort.

Maybe you…
… want to be rich, but you’re afraid of what your family and friends might think about your desire for money.

… want to lose weight, but you’re afraid of the backlash you’ll get from those closest to you when you tell them you’re skipping dessert tonight.

… want a promotion at work, but you’re afraid of what your coworkers will say when they see you coming in early.

These are all paradoxes.

Your problems could be:

How do I make 6 figures in 12 months?

How can I lose 1-2 lbs every week for the next 6 months?

How can I get leverage on my boss so he’ll give me more responsibility?

Before you can start solving your problem, you need to overcome your paradox.

Imagine your paradox as a box and inside the box, there’s a piece of paper with your problem written on it. Your goal, right now, is to open the box so you can pull out the piece of paper.

You can’t solve your problem until you know exactly what your problem is, and this exercise will help you figure that out.

How to Open the Box

Mark McGuiness from 99U says there are three classic versions of fear of success:

1.    Fear of not coping with success

2.    Fear of selling out

3.    Fear of becoming someone else

Overcoming these three fears will relax the boundaries (open the box) moving you to phase two, where you can start working on solving your problem.
Mark recommends you deal with these three fears like this:

Fear of Not Coping with Success
“Success is more complex than failure. On some level, it’s more comfortable to stay in a familiar situation, even if it doesn’t feel great on the surface. But achieving success (however you define it) means you are entering uncharted territory. You are putting yourself out there to be scrutinized and criticized, and exposing yourself to new pressures and demands. It’s only human to wonder whether you’ll be up to the challenge. A small anxious part of you would rather not take the risk.”

What to do about it:
“Although the idea of success can be scary, the reality is generally easier to cope with than what you had before. If you’ve been resourceful enough to keep yourself going during the tough times, you’ll probably be able to do the same with the good times. Remind yourself of all the extra resources success will bring you:
·  A boost to your confidence
·  A bigger, more powerful network
·  A healthier bank balance
·  A growing reputation that opens new doors

Fear of Selling Out
“Whatever choices you make, if you achieve any kind of public success, it’s a sad fact that someone, somewhere will be thinking (and even saying) nasty things about you — including accusations of selling out.”

What to do about it:
“Firstly, accept that you’ll never please everyone. Backbiting is part of the price of success. Secondly, make sure you are comfortable with your choices. Make a list of all the things you would consider “selling out,” and which you’re not prepared to do. Then keep the list handy. As long as you don’t do the things on that list, you can look yourself in the mirror. Whatever anyone else says about you.”

Fear of Becoming Someone Else
“Because we habitually put successful people on pedestals, the idea of becoming “one of them” can feel daunting. You start to worry that you’ll turn into someone else, a person your friends and family won’t recognize — and won’t like. This fear has some foundation in reality. After all, if you were satisfied with the person you are now, why would you want to change? But it’s also founded on a false premise: that change is about leaving your old self behind and replacing it with a completely new one. Change is more complex than that. You are definitely more complex than that.”

What to do about it:
“Instead of thinking about change in terms of subtraction (losing your old self) think of it in terms of addition. You are about to discover and develop new facets to your personality — adding to who you are and what you bring to the world.

Getting used to your new role will feel tingly and exciting. And you can still be the person you’ve always been to family and friends. Spending time with them will feel like slipping on your old comfy jeans after spending time in your trendy new clothes. More selves = more choices and a richer life.”

OK, if you’ve followed Mark’s advice, you’ve now opened the box and have access to the piece of paper with your problem.

You might be thinking, ‘I already know what my problem is, why did I need to open the box in the first place?’ The box was working against you. Now with the box gone, there’s nothing impeding your chances of solving your problem. You can focus all your energy on finding a solution.

The good news is the solution to accumulating wealth, sculpting the body of your dreams, or securing a promotion all start with setting up systems in your life that make these outcomes inevitable.

Daily Routine For Success

A happiness expert shares her daily routine for success

Gretchen Rubin describes herself as an "extreme" person.
That's not to say she's a fan of windsurfing or spicy food or loud concerts. In fact, she dislikes most of those things.
Rubin, author of "The Happiness Project" and "Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives," considers herself extreme in her ability to develop and maintain habits.
While some people would find it boring to eat a similar low-carb lunch day after day, Rubin embraces the predictability.
"I feel like habits are freeing," she says.
As Rubin explains in the book, habits eliminate the need for decision-making. For example, you probably don't argue with yourself about brushing your teeth when you wake up — the behavior is automatic.
But Rubin says that people have different tolerances for routine, depending in part on theirpersonalities. To that end, the book divides people into four types: Upholders, Obligers, Questioners, and Rebels.
Upholders respond readily to both inner and outer expectations; Questioners respond only to expectations that make sense to them; Obligers meet mostly outer expectations; and Rebels resist all expectations.
Rubin considers herself an Upholder. Because Upholders are naturally drawn toward rules and schedules, it's relatively easy for them to start new habits and stick to them.
"A highly, highly regimented life would be a dream [for me]," says Rubin, noting that family members have described her as a "monk."
Unfortunately, the demands of her current schedule make it impossible for her to do the exact same thing at the same time every day.
But Rubin does what she can to impose order on her days: She consistently sets her alarm for 6 a.m., even on weekends, and spends the first hour of her day checking email and social media. Most days include a yoga class or strength-training session that always take place at the same time.
Even her eating habits reflect the kind of rigidity that would drive some people crazy. Rubin maintains a low-carb diet that barely includes sugar or flour, and in the book she mentions that she eats pretty much the same foods every day.
On the flip side, Rebels often struggle with routine. "They quickly feel constrained and trapped by a habit atmosphere," Rubin says, adding that, "if it's on the schedule, it makes them not want to do it."
Ultimately, Rubin suggests that being healthy and happy isn't about changing your personality — it's about learning to work with it. That may mean following a strict daily routine, from a 6 a.m. meditation practice to a 10 p.m. journaling session. Or it could mean living each day completely differently, working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and then working from 5 p.m. until midnight on Tuesday.
What all successful people share, Rubin says, is that "they've figured out how to do their own best work."
