Welcome to the last day of the 7^th month of the year of our Lord – two thousand and thirteen. It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our sight, and what can we say again but to continually thank and praise Him for His grace upon our lives and those of our families (nuclear and extended) and friends and well wishers.

It’s Wednesday, the middle of the working week, a day that is usually set aside to ask for strength to complete the week’s journey.

So, two important things to do today

First, tidy up the books and the table as July is about to give way for August, so that we would be in a better frame of mind to receive the “August” Visitor

Second, to approach God in His Holy Sanctuary to ask for grace and strength to persevere in the face of mountainous challenges

Do those two and I shall be waiting for you right there at the top

Greetings of the new day to you all my friends, well-wishers and family/relatives.

I thank Jehovah God Almighty Whose mercies abideth forever for this wonderful miracle of bringing my family and I back to this land of milk and honey, I am also certain that you and yours benefitted from this miracle. May His Holy Name be forever praised with our hearts, minds and souls – Amen

It’s Tuesday, the 2nd to the last day of this 7th month of this year 2013, by tomorrow, we would be bidding “good bye” to July.

Has your target for the month been met?
 Did you clear your table?
Are there some things still waiting to be done?

Well I have two pieces of news for you – the good news and the bad news.

The good news is that every new morning provides us with the opportunity to do that which we ought to have done yesterday, to make those moves we ought to have made, to refresh those dying relationships we ought to have tailored, to say those kind words to our loved ones we ought to have said days back, to go out of our way and welcome that new neighbour in our neighbourhood whom we ought to have shown some welcoming love since s/he parked over, and also to know that we ought to be dotting all the I’s and crossing all the T’s preparing to transit from one month to another.

And the bad news is --------------------------- hmmm , sorry to disappoint you but THERE IS NO BAD NEWS

So my friend, get ready to hand July over to August and as you do that “fret not over things that would have been, a new month gives us a new lease of life, another opportunity to take a “breath of FRESH AIR””

Greetings of the new day to all my friends and well wishers

I am grateful to God that just as I prayed last night before hitting the bed, He did grant my request – to wake us up this morning in good health. May all honour, adoration, dominion, power and majesty be ascribed to Him for ever – Amen.

In 6 days time, this month shall enter the bin of history and shall be gone forever. Surely you would have made plans for the month – the projects to execute, the habits to drop, the ones to pick up, the money to be made, the books to be read, how much weight to lose, how much weight to gain, e.t.c. – how many of these plans and projects have you been able to execute and achieve?

Sometimes circumstances beyond our control make it difficult to achieve our goals and plans, sometimes the fear of success or of failure as the case may be keep us rooted on one spot but we need to always remember that TIME IS OF ESSENCE and that TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE.

If we have that at the back of our minds, we would be fired up with zeal to accomplish that which we have set out to do knowing that  “the best time to do a thing was 20 years ago, the next best time is TODAY and NOW”

Yes, the month of May is about to end, yet there is much that can still be done in this remaining 48 hours.

So, go find that which can be done, then DO IT!!!!!

Good morning all

Thank God that we all woke up hale and hearty, may all glory, honour, dominion and adoration be unto His Holy Name – Amen.

It is good to be here again as a new and fresh opportunity has been offered to live that life we would have lived yesterday.

YESTERDAY!!!! That word, how most of us love to hug and embrace it, even sometimes make it a permanent room mate. Most of the failures of life arise from an escape into the embrace of yesterday and taking solace in the “comfort” it presents. It is the bitter experience of yesterday that has made many a man to remain rooted where he is rather than moving forward.

A man’s business fails due to circumstances beyond his control and he decides that he would have nothing to do with business again in his life time to the extent that even when “risk – free” opportunities come his way, he is not disposed to take advantage of them, all because he had that bitter experience of a failed business yesterday.

A man’s heart gets broken in the cause of loving someone and he decides “never to love again” forgetting that love is a bitter-sweet experience.

A man’s “intimate” friend stabs him in the back and he decides never to get close to anyone again forgetting that “friendship is for good and for bad” and that even our Man – Superior was betrayed by His most trusted ally infact His Treasurer!!!

A door is closed on us and instead of remembering the maxim that says that “when one door is closed, another is opened” we mope so long at the closed door that we have no time to look around us to see the opened window.

YESTERDAY!!!! Oh yesterday. So many great talents are lying there in the grave yard who were unable to express their talents because of yesterday.

My dear friend, are you still hanging unto yesterday? Are you still refreshing the hurts, the inconveniences, the lacks of yesterday and are they limiting your availability for today?

For you to make a good go at life and living, YOU JUST HAVE TO COME OUT OF THAT COCCON OF YESTERDAY.

Sure you can remember the things that happened to you yesterday, but man, you don’t have to live there. History is written from the ashes of yesterday and a good to read history would always tell of the lacks of yesterday and how they were overcame – that is the history that is worth reading

Today is here, make the most of it

And as you do that, He would look down with compassion from His Heavenly Throne and really show mercy

Greetings of the new day.

To God be the glory for the great things He has done for us in giving us a good night rest and then waking us up again this morning to which we had no contribution.

I am certainly convinced that it’s going to be a good day cause with His help I am just going to make it so.

And talking about making my day a good day, do you know that though the weathers tend to make us want to expire but that the will to live is actually ours by His grace?

Do you know that 90% of what I am or become is actually from me while the remaining 10% comes from the outside?

Do you know that I can actually be who and what I want to if I apply myself diligently to that dream?

I am sure you have heard it said severally that “whatever the heart of man can conceive, the mind of man can achieve?

Knowing these things, why are we not where we want to be? Why are we not who we want to be? Why are we not what we want to be?

To be who or what you  want to be or to be where you want to be, it is not just a matter of mouthing it or shouting amen whenever the Pastor or Imam prays for you concerning such things, it is a MATTER OF WORK.

To be who or what or at where you want to be, YOU’VE GOT TO WORK HARD at it. Mere wishes would not take you there.  And remember, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE in the day to make a U-TURN if you are headed in the wrong direction.

Let no one tell you that your time has passed, the only man whose time has passed lives at No 6 Casket Street, Gudu Cemetery Abuja.

A VPA would help you to be who or what or at where you want to be, go for it.

So, it is in me to make today a good day no matter what may come my way, and it is in YOU as well. So let’s go out in a blaze of glory and glow

Nuggets On how To Get Through The Day

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.

And if you are being less than forthright at your place of work, then, this new provides a new beginning to turn a new leaf.

Good morning this morning. Hope you had a restful night, because I did.

I thank God for making it possible to us to be alive today, many who went home from sleep desired to be here today but they are not opportuned. That we are alive is not because we are holier than them, it is just of God’s own grace and mercy for which we must continue to give Him thanks and praise.

It is Sunday, a day to go worship Him in His Holy Sanctuary, kindly see that you do that.

There is nothing else we can give to God except to sing to Him and worship Him always.

Let us be merry in the Lord’s presence, even though He lives in us, but He acknowledged that a Temple is a necessary place for the congregation of His people so let us not forget the assembling together of the Saints militant.

While you do that, may He continue to look down upon you with grace from His Heavenly Throne.

He lives in me, He also lives in you, acknowledge Him today.

WELCOME TO THURSDAY

Greetings to all men and women of good will who are my friends on facebook.

I am so happy to be around today, when I went to bed last night, I of course was hopeful that I would wake up this morning but it was not that hope that made me come by again but His grace. The grace of God which we actually don’t merit going by the things we think, speak and do is actually the propelling force to our existence and living.

And I owe Him tons of gratitude.

So don’t think that it is by your own power or might or by that which is hanging by the head of your bed or tucked in under the mattress that brought you back to the land of the living, no my dear, God is bigger than any other “god” and to Him do we owe our life.

So seeing that the life we live is not really ours per se but His, what manner of men ought we to be?

Should we not serve Him with all that is in us?

Should we not praise Him times without ceasing, in season and out of season?

Should we not clothe the naked? feed the hungry?, give water to the thirsty?, provide shelter for the homeless? Honour all men? Serve the brotherhood?

Me thinks that the essence of God showering us with abundance is to be a blessing to others and it is my very considered opinion and view that extending a helping hand is not just about dolling out money, for me it rests squarely on empowering to improve the life of him who is in need through teaching him how to fish and not just giving him fish all the time. In your acts of charity, endeavour not to encourage indolence, a man must learn to fend for himself whatever his station in life is – NO SITUATION IS PERMANENT – every thing changes, it is just a matter of time.

Today, if you would hear His Voice, harden not your heart – go GIVE

MID WEEK

Greetings to all my friends

I bless the Name of the Lord for He had done it again for us in bringing us back to the land of the living, may all glory, honour, adoration, thanksgiving be His for ever Amen.

It is the middle of the week, a day to take stock of the past two days and how we have fared.

In my review this morning, I noticed that though I am buffeted on all sides right now but the Lord has been my strength and the Pillar upon which I have stood and which has not allowed me to cave in.

There comes a time when the strength of man fails and that is when God actually takes over the show, though we may not see it, but we sure can feel it if we are appropriately tuned.

Weeping may endure all through the night but certainly joy comes in the morning. Let all darkness bring with it what it may, He that has called us to His service, shall be there to see us through. Don’t wait to see it, believe it “it is more blessed to believe than to wait to see.”

Are you passing through hurt, agony pain or burden, allow yourself to be comforted by His words. IT IS ONLY YOU WHO CAN DO IT.

Remember to go and renew your strength for the remainder  of the week

Trusting God that you all woke up hale and hearty.

That I have penned this down is not only an evidence that I woke up well but also that I am hale and hearty.

But not many persons are that lucky as you and I are.

Some are right now being rushed to the hospital to get a Doctor’s attention!

Some are being taken to the mortuary to prepare them for the final sleep!

Some are being arrested now and kept in detention awaiting trial?

Some have been involved in bone shattering accidents and thus have their legs or arms suspended in a hospital!

Some woke up with confusion in their heads!

And yet others have completely forgotten who they are!

But you, yes YOU, God spared you from all these troubles

What ought we to do?

To gloat or to appreciate?

To boast or to be humble?

To brag or to be simple?

Make your choice

Chose you this day how you are to appreciate your God for saving you from all the travails of this life so far.

It’s in YOUR HANDS

HAPPY SUNDAY

My People,

Greetings of the new day.

It pleased God to bring us into this new day, may all glory be to His Holy Name.

There are purposes for which He did this and the chief amongst them is that we should worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, for if we fail in doing that, then we simply don’t understand it.

Such worship constitutes the tenets of true religion, for it is not in fighting and quarrelling that we worship Him in spirit and in truth, not in ramming it down the throat of the other person, not in accusations and counter-accusations, not in blackmails, innuendos, not in destroying another’s character and reputation, not in using our tongues to slander and condemn, to pass judgement of “guilty as charged” even as we have done more heinous things; not in all the negative things of the world that have left more strife than peace, torn us apart, that have highlighted the things that keep us at each other’s throat more than the things that bind us together as people of the same stock – human race.

True religion is found in such acts as He described – dealing fairly with the widow and the orphan, sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the Prisoners, raising a Ministry for the Powerless, Poorest of the Poor. That is true religion.

And that was what the old time religion was all about – communing together in the breaking of bread, looking after each other’s welfare and watching each other’s back.

Today, the man watching my back has a big dagger hidden in his clothings!!!!

Give me that old time religion, it will just be enough for me!!!!!

Go worship God in His Holy Sanctuary

O worship the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness

Bow down before Him, His glory proclaim

With songs of obedience and incense of lowliness

Kneel and adore Him, the Lord is His Name

And to know what percentage has been covered or achieved, the figure of which shall help us to activate the engine of completion

It is also a day to go for anointing to re-new our strength to continue marching forward even in the face of daunting challenges.

And talking about daunting challenges, it is very important that we always remember that “what does not kill a man, only makes him stronger” and be comforted by those words.

Whatever happens, it is for the now, in a few months time, it shall become history and would be remembered with faint memory.

God is on the Throne, and our hope should actually be in Him.

Facebook quietly issued a warning this week to its UK users - reminding people to check privacy settings before its powerful new “Graph Search” function arrives.

Graph Search will be here in days - but Facebook’s warning does little to explain the power of its new tool, which makes it easy for people to find old photographs, even ones hidden from your Timeline.

Privacy group Electronic Frontier Foundation has described the new search function as “creepy”. 

Users in the UK will be able to use it within days - to use the powerful search tool, people simply have to change their settings to “U.S. English”.

People are already using Graph Search - so tidy up your profile now

Graph Search makes it far easier to search through old photographs - and people who have signed up for early tests are using it already. If you’re worried about something you may have “Liked” or a photo you might be tagged in, act now. People in the U.S. and the UK are already using Graph Search and millions more will start using it within weeks.

For a quick fix, visit your profile

Graph Search will not show off any photos that are set to be private - ie ones that can be seen by "Only Me" or "Friends". It won't change privacy settings for any image - it's just easier to find images, especially old ones, which used to require scrolling back through Timeline. You can adjust settings for photos on Activity Log (found on your profile page). If you're worried, this is a great first step.

Be wary of “tagging”

Photos which friends have “tagged” you in can be found far more easily using Graph Search - even ones that don't appear on your Timeline. If you’re worried, visit Facebook’s Activity Log (on your profile) and manually review photos that might be visible to others, hiding ones you don't like. Graph Search will not show off private photos. You can also set Facebook's Privacy settings so that you have the option to "Review" images where someone has tagged you before that tag appears on Facebook.

Understand how Graph Search works

The new tool makes Facebook searchable like much of the internet (it’s actually powered by Microsoft’s  Bing). People can search for, say, a name and “Photographs”, and will see every image that person has been tagged in, or search for "London" and see images and "Likes" tagged in that location. It means a lot of Facebook content that users might have forgotten about is now easily available.

Don’t trust your Timeline

Posts that are hidden from your Timeline can be found by Graph Search - for instance by someone searching your name and “Photographs”. The only thing that counts is that photograph's privacy settings, which determine whether it is visible to people in Graph Search. 

Don’t assume that everyone sees the same thing

Graph Searches are personalised to each user - much in the same way as Facebook’s main News Feed is personalised to you. That means that people will tend to see results focused on their own friends. It also means, though, that you can’t be sure of what someone searching your name will see - it’s different for everyone. Lock down your privacy settings to be sure.

Learn how to use it

The best way to understand Graph Search’s power is to use it. Facebook suggests that you can use it to find “personalised” recommendations by searching, say,  “Hotels in Madrid that my friends like” or “Friends of friends who live in Manchester”. For a career boost, the social network giant suggests searches such as “friends of friends who work at King.com”.
 
Watch what you’ve “Liked”

If you hit the “Like” button a lot, watch out. People can search for what you’ve “Liked” using Graph Search - humour sites on the web have already used the search to highlight lists of people who use dating apps and who are also listed as “married”. Visit your profile, go to Activity Log, then remove any “Like” you wouldn’t want others seeing.

Don’t hand out extra information

Information that was previously only visible by going to your profile page - such as where you’re from - can now be searched via Graph Search. Consider making your Profile information private so that you don’t show up in searches for a particular location - otherwise you may show up in searches by people you don’t know. The same also applies to any location-based apps such as Foursquare.

Watch out for “Friends of Friends”

Graph Search makes it much easier to find information about you - so you should seriously consider raising privacy settings so that “Only Friends” can see your photos. If your privacy is set to “Friends of Friends” or “Public”, people you don’t know will be able to see your photographs, posts and Likes. This could mean that private information is available to employers or even cybercriminals.

I welcome you all to this day, Tuesday the 9^th day of July 2013.

The month is already heading on and before you know it, it would be over --- hmmmmmm, how fast the year is flying.

Most small businesses in Nigeria revolve around Government and even major and big ones too, so the near absence of “Government budget” has really affected the turns of these businesses and has made it difficult to really have implantable plans these 7 months.

We use this opportunity to call on the “ogas at the top” to let the wheels of the government train gather momentum and pick speed before this year enters the last lap of the race.

It is always preferable to use our positions of trust to impact positively on the people, by so doing we would be writing our stories in their hearts and on the sands of time too.

9^th of July, hmmmm, there is a need to double up
