Do This One Thing If You Desire Success

We all, irrespective of our gender or creed or tribe or tongue desire to be successful in whatever we do however we know that there is a big difference between a desire to get something or be something  and actually getting or being that thing.

Whatever desire we have, if it is not backed up with an actionable plan would certainly remain in the realm of desire and cannot be actualized.

And so to achieve our desire and make it a success, we have to put action into the works.

The challenge, therefore, lies in putting action to the works to enable us to achieve our desire and this is because the default setting of our mindset is that of being comfortable even in failure. Our mindsets are stewed and garnished in negativity.

It is the fear mentality that breeds the negativity in us - the fear of failure which suspends us in mid-air when we want to try out something new, the fear of what people will say if we fail, the fear of the embarrassment of failure, the fear of getting marked for life - this fear is very palpable and stops us in our tracks when we want to launch out thus making us dilly dally and procrastinate.

So the bad news is that negativity is an enemy of success - infact it kills success

And here some facts to prove that negativity kills success

1.     Negativity suppresses your prefrontal cortex,
which is critical for creativity, decision-making and seeing solutions rather than just problems.

2.     Negativity creates chronic stress, which causes inflammation throughout the body and can lead to disease.
When you are battling health problems, it's hard to focus on anything, let alone the pursuit of success.

3.     Negativity can make you a toxic person. A toxic person is a pessimist and is never a good company any day except in the company of other pessimists

4.     Negativity rubs off even on your mode of dressing, the way you talk and even the way you walk.
This will surely make people avoid you like the bubonic plague

5.     Negativity keeps you secluded in your own World. And as you know, no man is an island.
So, if you earnestly desire success, there's just one thing to do - kill negativity and take a quantum jump over to positivity

By so doing, you would  make it possible for you to succeed.

In the next post, I shall let you know the actions to take in the positivity arena that would take you to your success.

Mindset Creates Experiences

Oh for certain, our limitations in life come from a combined experience of what we have been told and what we have allowed to fester in our minds.

And such limitations placed on our mindset have been responsible for why we are not experiencing life in its fullest even as Our Maker said we should.

One of my good friends used to sell Insurance, here's what he wrote about himself (a brief)

"For so many years of my life, I was very STINGY!"
And it reflected in how I lived my life
for example: I would wait till 6 in the morning for the train to go home because it pained me to pay $30 to take a midnight cab home at 3am.
also I would grab only the cheapest $2 double cheese burger at MacDonalds as a meal, without fries nor soft drink.

Thinking back, why was I stingy then?

Because my abilities to make money were limited by my
mindset.

Remember I was a struggling insurance agent?
All I knew then was to talk to people about insurance and
hopefully I would close a deal.

If I did not, I would talk to another person.

I kept doing it non-stop.

Imagine meeting tens of people and I did not close any deal.

With such an expansion of effort and result, how could I not be stingy?

My mindset had always been "money does not grow on tree" so what I was going through “made sense.”

I just lived with it.

Now, my mindset is "money grows on tree."

Sounds unbelievable? But it truly is."

You see this my friend dropped his old mindset of "money does not grow on trees" and went ahead to replace it with a new one that says "money grows on trees" and today he is a Millionaire in Dollars.

He no longer has to pinch his pennies, he actually flies first class, eats at the most exquisite Restaurants in town and goes on vacation yearly with his Family - luxuries that he could not afford when he was a struggling Insurance Sales Person and would never have been able to afford if he continued doing that which was not bringing him any close to personal and family comfort.

You too can change your mindset to start manifesting the goodness of God in your life

You can know how, if you would only but ask

Time To Change Your Mindset

This Post is for FIRST COMMENTER CONTEST

Every day, I get messages from my facebook friends telling me that they are searching for "good and well paying jobs" and requesting me to help them in their search or recommend them for one job or the other

I surely have nothing against anyone who is out there searching for a good job especially if they have been properly trained for such jobs.

However the truth of the matter is that while the Nigerian Educational system produces more graduates each succeeding year, the job availability is on the decline each succeeding year.

The time was when any good graduate would even get a job before he is through with his final degree exams.

In those days, Employers of labour used to visit Institutions of Higher learning to interview prospective employees.

And the successful employees not only get good and well paying jobs but they also get pecks of the job including a house and a car.

That was when there were just 43 million Nigerians with less than a million being graduates.

But in our time, things have not been the same again and would never be.

As at today, there are at least 210 million Nigerians with over 50 million graduates and still counting, the majority of whom are Youths (16 - 35).

The Education curriculum is skewed towards producing employees and that is the challenge that most young people have because they are brain-washed to believe that once they have a certificate, then they would surely have a job.

Having a certificate is no longer a pre-requisite for obtaining a job, rather having skills now supersede.

So, if you have been working in the belief that because you have a certificate, therefore you must have a job, then that is a very wrong notion and the time to change your mindset is now.

No Government in the world is able to employ all its employable citizens; and even with the Organized Private Sector being actively involved in employment, it is still not possible to employ all those who have certificates.

It then means that anyone who has a certificate should do better to acquire some other skills aside his or her certificate that would put them on a higher pedestal for employers.

But while waiting for employers to show up, any right thinking unemployed young person should get busy instead of sitting at one corner and complaining about the state of joblessness because I must tell you that there is no such thing as a "state of absolute joblessness".

Joblessness is relative in that it is a choice that we have to make.

So, if you find yourself in a state where you have a certificate but not a job yet, then get busy, join online businesses, start offline businesses, get involved in volunteer jobs, participate in Community activities --- whatever else you do, just get busy.

Your state of "busyness" pays great dividend.

If you are challenged on how to get busy when you have no job, then speak with me, I would be more than willing to lead you along.

Time lost can never be re-gained!!!!
