August Is Here

 

The eighth month of the year popularly called August has just arrived and it has brought with it bags and bags of goodies and challenges too to choose from.

I urge you to open your arms very widely to welcome August and to ask the Spirit of God for discernment and the enablement to choose well.

But one thing is certain, irrespective of what you choose, God's gat your back.

He is your Maker, He owns the life you are living and if you are still here (I mean on this Planet), it only means that He still has assignments for you which you have not finished.

And so, look up to Him the Author and Finisher of your faith. He is Just, Kind and Merciful and His Steadfastness never ceases.

I wish that you make the best of choices in this month of August, the eighth month, and watch God perfect the works of His Hands going on in your life right now.

In this month, remember to count your blessings and see how much you will be surprised by the things that the Lord has been doing for you, the battles He has been fighting for you and the salvation that He has given you at no cost to you.

I wish you overflowing joy, peace and happiness in this month of August 2023.

Let's Make It A September To Remember

 

We have crossed into another month.

A new month indeed but with an old name - September

The 9th month of the year

Why it was named September belongs to history but what belongs to us right now is the obvious fact that - September just arrived.

and our major concern is - What are we going to do with September?

If we have handled the preceding 8 months before now well, then all we need to do is to double down on what has worked in the past months and get them to do better this month.

But if we have had issues making the past months successful, then we need to adjust our sails, look out for the green compass and ensure that as we head towards the end of the year, we are cruising in the winning ship.

But you know, there's just nothing you can do all by yourself - you need the Grace of God and the support of men.

It is HIS GRACE that has brought you into this new month in the first place, don't take it for granted - be GRATEFUL for the breath of life in you. So many people wished to see this new month but could not make it, stats have it that more than 3 million people world wide go to bed every night and never wake up the following morning. If you are reading this, it only means that you still have God's life breath in you - celebrate it, rejoice and be happy. Let nothing bother you beyond the ordinary, remember that you have total control over how things end up in and with you. Be positive always. Look out for the silver lining no matter how dark the clouds may be.

And for this month, ask God to be with you. HE WILL. I promise you that and why should I be making such a promise - BECAUSE I KNOW HIM.

Listen, it's a new month filled with great opportunities - look out for those opportunities, cast your cynicism that has  not paid you any good dividend aside and embrace an opportunity to be better. Trust me you will not regret it BUT always do your own DUE DIGITAL DILIGENCE.

Don't just jump headlong, test the waters first with your feet to ascertain their depth.

Let's make it a September to Remember.

August Is Here!

 

And the eight month of the year is here - AUGUST is her name.

It is God's grace that has brought us this far, it is neither by our power nor by our might because by strength shall no man prevail.

August has brought with her a lot of goodies and it is your responsibility to pick your choice out of her bag of goodies - whatever you pick is what you get.

So think deep, reflect well before making a choice from the bag of goodies. However, if you don't like what you picked, you can always turn it around but no longer from the bag of goodies because you have only one chance to make a pick BUT by your mind power.

I cannot tell you that all your problems are over in this month because that will be telling a lie - there would be old problems that would resurface and then there will be new problems that will surface BUT whether they surface or resurface, you have been EMPOWERED to deal with them all by your Creator. His grace is abundant and ubiquitous; make every effort to rely on HIM because it is in Him that we LIVE and MOVE and have our BEING.

Happy Fathers Day To Us Fathers

First I was born - a boy, a son that opened his mother's womb, of the #TribeOfFirstBorns

Then I became a Teen - #TeenBoy, #Adolescent  with all the questions and roaring hormones, feeling like I own the world, thinking that my Father was of the Old School and I the wonder kid

Then I became a Young Adult -#YoungAdult, no longer a teenager and not fully a man (lol) with many unanswered questions, still grappling with roaring hormones, seeking meaning, loving adventures and scary things, going where I was asked not to go

Then I became a Mid-Adult - #YoungMan, searching out a career path, reaching out of my enclave

Then I became an Adult - #FullBloodiedAdult, training and looking towards utopia

Then I had a career and became 1st Degree Bachelor - I thought it won't be long

But the search took longer than I thought and while still searching I became a 2nd Degree Bachelor

And when I thought I had found her, God interevened and said it was not her and that left me still hanging in the space between marriageable bachelor and married man which made me get into the stage of 3rd Degree Bachelor

And then just like a meteor, God sent her to me, the woman to complete me and fill the rib that was taken out of my side and hurray I became a Married Man and left the Club of Chronic Bachelors for good

Before I could say Jack Robinson, a junior me came and made me a Father

What I learnt from my Father, I am also passing onto my Son - of belief in oneself, of hard work, of sincerity of purpose, of honesty, of integrity, of not appropriating what does not belong to him, of being the best he can be where ever he finds himself.

Fatherhood is an experience which is better tasted than described.

He Neither Slumbers Nor Sleeps

This Post is for FIRST COMMENTER CONTEST

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.

She finds a remote grass field near a strong flowing river.

This seems a safe place. Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.

She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.

To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?

She is in labour!

What will happen?

Will the deer survive?

Will she give birth to a fawn?

Will the fawn survive?

Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?

Will she perish to the hunters’ arrow?

Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do?

She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are just out of this world, completely unbelievable:

- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.

- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.

- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.

- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.

Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.

The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,

Where's your focus?

Where's your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on the Creator always. 

He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER.

Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps

The Size Of God

Have you ever met a child who draws you by the arm and tells you: 'brother or sister, buy me candy or biscuit'?

That kid doesn't care if you have money in your pocket or not, s/he just believes in your size--he believes that someone as big as you are can provide him with candy or biscuit.

This is how we should believe in God--like the little children.

If you cannot believe God for any other thing, believe him for His size.

He's such a BIG God--He's so BIG to lie.

Hey! It's Sunday

HEY

It's SUNDAY

The first day of the Christian week.

A replacement for the Sabbath of old and therefore a day of rest

But we do every other thing other but rest on this day

But first, go to church and ensure that you pray not only for yourself but for SOMEBODY else.

Knock on HEAVEN's GATE for someone else

For a moment, just forget about yourself and your myriad of challenges

Lift someone up before the Lord

Let God's love flow to someone because you PRAYED for them 

And surely a thank you is waiting for you

Let someone be able to say for your sake, God lifted me up

The reward is exceedingly above our expectation.

So today, go to CHURCH

Go, Believe, Live

Are you seriously hurting, your eyes have turned all red and no one is looking?

Are you passing through hard times?

Have you looked around and there is no one to help?

Have you cried out and no one wants to see your tears?

Have you shouted to the point of having your voice crack and no one wants to hear?

You have looked down, looked east, west, north and south, looked sideways and backwards and all you see is blackness?

I bring you good tidings this Saturday morning

It is not as bad as you think it is

because God is still in the Business of taking care of His Own and you are His (not minding what the circumstance may say)

if you have life, you have every thing. It is only the living that can dream, have a vision, make plans and implement them with the hope that they would succeed --- the dead is ceased from all activities.

So if you have life my dear, YOU HAVE EVERY THING, it is only a matter of time.

Today

God will make a way where there seems to be

He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for you

He will be your Guide, hold you closely in His Arms

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way

He will make a way!!!

That is God's report, which other report do you want to believe???

Today, I want to encourage you to "look up" when all around you has failed, "look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith" He would not fail you; but remember, HIS TIME IS NOT YOUR TIME - He is never in a haste to arrive and He arrives just when it is needed most, He never arrives late.
