Never Ever Ever Give Up No Matter What!

Never Ever Ever Give Up No Matter What!

I'm going to use this story to explain why motivation, ambition, and sheer unstoppability are such important aspects of success.

He resisted signing documents denouncing American intervention in Southeast Asia offered to him by the North Vietnamese after his crash and incarceration as a prisoner of war in the steamy jungles of Vietnam for months.

During these times, he was inspired by the memory of his grandfather, who, amid threats of execution, had been the only person in their village powerful enough not to vote for Hitler during elections.

He had marveled at the US enemy planes as a kid in Germany, and vowed to one day fly for the United States of America.

His father had died in the war, and his mother was in dire straits. After WWII, people in Germany were starving to death.

He became used to surviving on garbage.

He had made it through the ordeal.

In these circumstances, he traded scrap metal for money and hitchhiked to Hamburg in order to get to America. He remained on the streets of Manhattan after arriving in the United States.

He trained for years, often living in an upside-down cruise, and eventually became a US Navy pilot, but...

On his first mission over Vietnam, he was shot down.

He was eventually apprehended by enemy troops; he attempted to flee but was recaptured. He banded together with the other prisoners and devised an escape scheme. There was no time to waste as the prisoners learned that their captors were going to kill them.

They were able to flee and defeat their guards. Then came leeches, hunger, hazard, and misery. He never lost faith.

He and another man believed they'd been spotted by US planes and that rescue was on the way, but it wasn't. They persisted in their efforts to reach Thailand. Villagers assassinated his neighbor.

He continued to eat snakes alone, still on the verge of starvation.

He was rescued by a US helicopter after 23 days of surviving in the jungle, sick and wounded but avoiding capture.

He'd been hiding behind enemy lines for over a year.

I recommend printing this out or saving it to your phone so you can refer to it anytime you feel like giving up.

Dieter Dengler did not give up, and you will not either.

Nothing Can Come To You Unless You Draw It

Nothing Can Come To You Unless You Draw It

Many times, things happen to good religious people and people who think they are righteous, and they don't understand why.

They say, "Now why would this person do me out of this?

Why do these 'things' happen to me?"

If somebody is always doing you out of something, watch out. It means that somewhere in your subconscious psychology, there is some kind of negative belief.

It could be the belief that you are not deserving. Nothing can come to you unless you believe you deserve it, and nothing can go from you unless you believe you don't deserve it.

You are not going to get anything that you don't really believe you deserve

And if you do appear to get something that you really don't think you deserve - you think it's too good for you - don't worry, it will slip away.

Somebody else will come along and take it off your hands.

So it is very important that you think you deserve the best.

You Are A Child Of God
Your belief about yourself should be based upon your knowledge of who and what you are in God, and who and what God is in you.

You deserve the best because you are a child of God.

Get Your 'BUT' Out Of The Way

I have come across quite a number of persons who in conversation say to me -

Doctor, I really want to be an achiever BUT
or
Doctor, I want to have the best things of life BUT
or
Doctor, I would really want to do something unique BUT

And at all those times, I always say back to them

You could be what you want to be
You could do what you want to do
You could have what you want to have

if only you would just get your 'BUT' out of the way

I want you to do something
Start today to practice what I call the 'BUT MINDFULNESS' - now that simply means for you to take note of the number of times you use the word BUT in your sentences about the things you want to be or do or have or the place you want to go, you will discover that the only thing standing between you and all those things is BUT and it's your own BIG BUT

Why?
because the Universe has given you everything you need or want in large quantities and it is only your BUT that is keeping you from accessing them.

The Real But Unseen Seven Wonders Of The World

W. B. Yeats once said, “The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”

When we think of the wonders of the world, we imagine magnificent, enormous buildings and monuments, but this wonderful little tale made me rethink it all.

Can You Do it?

Hello,

I have something to say to you

Don't you ever let someone or anyone tell you that you can't do something or anything you've set your heart on doing; so long as it will further your purpose on earth -

Don't listen to anyone - not your Mum, not your Dad, not your Teachers, not your best Uncles and Aunts and definitely not your peers and senior friends.

You have a dream? then you have to make great efforts to shield and protect your dream from dream killers.

Just because those people could not do what you want to do, does not in any way mean that you can't do it.

That they failed is the main reason why they project their failure to you by saying that you can't' do it but that's a big fat lie - you can do whatever you set your sights on doing and have a singleness of mind to pursue it to its logical conclusion.

You want something - Go get it period.

We are afraid not because we are inadequate, we are afraid because we are powerful beyond measure.

It's our light and not our darkness that most frightens us.

Your playing small in this world does not serve any purpose

There's  nothing enlightening about shrinking so that all those around you won't feel inferior;

we are meant to shine like children of light.

That Light is not just in some of us, it is in all of us and as we let our light shine, we constantly give other people permission to do the same - to let their own light shine too

As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others

Dream big
Never give up
help other people to achieve success and you will be successful

Remember, never ever give anyone permission to say to you that you can't do it because you can

10 Absolutely Amazing Success Rules From Bruce Lee

Had it not been for Bruce Lee and his movies in the early 1970s, it's arguable whether or not the martial arts film genre would have ever penetrated and influenced mainstream North American and European cinema and audiences the way it has over the past four decades.

The influence of East Asian martial arts cinema can be seen today in so many other film genres including comedies, action, drama, science fiction, horror, and animation.....and they all have their roots in the phenomenon that was Bruce Lee.

Approximately one year later the family returned to Kowloon in Hong Kong and at the age of five, a young Bruce began appearing in children's roles in minor films including The Birth of Mankind (1946) and Fu gui fu yun (1948).

At the age of 12, Bruce commenced attending La Salle College. Bruce was later beaten up by a street gang, which inspired him to take up martial arts training under the tutelage of "Sifu Yip Man" who schooled Bruce in Wing Chun kung fu for a period of approximately five years.

This was the only formalized martial arts training ever undertaken by Lee.

The talented & athletic Bruce also took up cha-cha dancing and, at the age of 18, won a major dance championship in Hong Kong.

Concerning Time - I Have News For You

One of the big mistakes we make in life if not the biggest is that "We think we have all the time in the World"

And because of that, we pontificate, we prevaricate, we postpone for tomorrow what can be done today, we procrastinate, we lazy around hoping for a better tomorrow when we are not working on it today.

Yes, time is free but it's priceless

You can't own it but you can use it
You can't keep it but you can spend it and once it's lost you can never get it back and no one can ever turn back the hands of time

The average person lives 78 years
We spend twenty-eight point three years of our lives sleeping that's almost a third of our life but thirty percent of us struggle to sleep well

We spend ten point five years of our life working but over 50 percent of us want to leave our current jobs

Time is more valuable than money you can get more money but you can never get more time

We spend nine years on TV and social media

We spend six years doing chores

We spend four years eating and drinking

We spend three and a half years in education

We spend two and a half years grooming

We spend two and a half years shopping

We spend one and a half years in childcare

And we spend one point three years commuting

That leaves us with nine years
how will we spend that time?

Steve Jobs
said "your time is limited so don't waste it living someone else's life"

So, here's the news I have for you

There's good news and there's bad news

The bad news is 'time flies' and the good news is 'you're the pilot'

Imagine you wake up every day with 86, 400 dollars in your bank account and at the end of the night it's all gone, whether you spent it or not and then the next day you get another eighty-six thousand four hundred dollars

What would we do with it?

In like manner every day 86,400 seconds are deposited into your life account

at the end of the day, that amount of time is gone, whether you use it profitably or not.

once they're all used up you get another new 86,400 seconds for the next day and so on

Certainly, we would never waste 86, 400 dollars if we have to spend it all in one day.

Surely we must find quality projects to carry out and interests to expand and share.

So then, why do we waste our time

those 86, 400 seconds are so much more powerful than the dollars because you can always make more dollars you can't always make more time

To realize the value of one year ask a student who failed a grade, who has to repeat a Class

To realize the value of one month ask a mother who lost their child in the final month

To realize the value of one week ask the Editor of an online magazine

To realize the value of one hour, ask the couple who's in a long-distance relationship

To realize the value of one minute ask the person who just missed a bus or train or plane

To realize the value of one second ask the person who just missed an accident

And to realize the value of a mili second ask the person who just came second at the Olympics

We think that it's people wasting our time but it's really us giving them the permission to do that

And in reality, these two people live inside us

don't let someone be a priority to you when all you are to them is an option

Some of us lose the people most important to us because we don't value their time

Some of us don't recognize how important someone is to us until they're gone

Inside all of us are two voices one voice that wants to uplift us, wants us to expand and grow

And then there's the other voice
the voice that holds us back, makes us lazy and makes us complacent, thus restricting us from the realization of our full  potential

Every day from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep inside of us there's this battle between the two voices and guess which one wins
the one that we listen to
the one that we feed
the one that we amplify

It is our choice of how we use our time

Life and time are the two best Teachers

Life teaches us to make good use of time
and time teaches us the value of life

And as William Shakespeare said "time is very slow for those who want, very fast for those who are scared, very long for those who are sad, very short for those who celebrate but for those who love time is eternal"

Start making wise use of your time today
