Take A Chance On Life

I know that a lot of people are passing through life filled with challenges.

Just when they have overcome one challenge, another shows up and all they find themselves doing is sorting out the issues of life and actually failing to live.

Life is not constructed that way.

Life is constructed in such a way that, you have only 70 years to live it out and by dint of hard work 80; anything on top of that is certainly a free gift; and if we have 70 years to be alive, then we cannot possibly have all the experiences of living this life; that is where learning by extension comes into play.

Whatever challenge you are passing through has already been appropriately overcome by someone else in the course of history and all you need to do is to find out who did and what s/he did to overcome that challenge.

It is foolhardy to want to overcome all the challenges in the world, simply because you want to have your own personal experience since they say that "experience is the best teacher" because, no one has all the time in this world to have all the experiences emanating from overcoming life's challenges.

You just have got to learn from others before you.

What is it that you are passing through right now?
Someone has crossed that Rubicon before now, search him or her out in the history books and apply exactly the solution they proffered in overcoming that challenge.

I speak from personal experience and that's why you just have to flow with this write up.

Use other person's experience to buffer up yours and then live your life to the hilt
That is all that matters

Have a good day today

7 Days Goodness Challenge

A friend recently came to me for advice.

His brother had been 'in a funk,' and needed something to lift his spirits.

Together, we decided on a 7-Day Goodness Challenge.

Each brother is holding the other accountable to take action on each of these goals.

Please join them.

Do one "goodness act" each day.

Let me know how it changes your outlook on life.

1) Perform a random act of kindness... buying coffee for the person behind you at Starbucks, buy flowers for the office, etc.

2) Connect with an old friend... someone you haven't seen in 5 years

3) Make a career connection between two good people you know

4) Do 3 minutes of mid-day meditation

5) Volunteer to walk a friends dog

6) Mail a thank you card to someone

7) Make a donation to food bank

Gratitude is just one of many ways to ensure Perfect Days

The Letting Go Challenge

The first 10 days of this month, I and my circle of friends took part in the 10 - Day Negative Thought Fast.

Read It Here:   10-Day Negative Thought Fast

During the period of 10 days we limited to less than 5 seconds the life of any negative thought that emanated from our minds and you won't believe this but it was one experience that I think every sane person should have from time to time.

In those 10 days, I had more time to concentrate on the positives of life, I became more aware of the life and living going on around me; I really benefitted immensely from that fast.

Fasting is not only spiritual, it is also psychological and physical; fasting from negative thoughts would surely help anyone to see the vision clearer.

This time around, we are launching the "Letting Go Challenge"

You can't believe or imagine the things that we carry around which constitute real baggages on our shoulders sometimes making us to walk with bent heads and necks.

From Thursday and for the 5 days following, we want to let go of all baggages and luggages we are carrying which are constituting themselves into clogs in the wheel of our live's progress; which are inhibiting us from really enjoying this life that God has given to us and which we do not know when it will come to an end.

As the year 2015 is heading to an end, a photo-finish as it were, it is time to start taking stock and to drop those things that have not helped us in any way at all in the outgoing year

So from Thursday 17th to Monday 21st December 2015, We’ll be letting go of things that stress us out, of some possessions that weigh us down, of repressed hatred and transferred aggression, of anger and frustration, of struggles of all kind.

You are invited to join us.
