The Greatest Miracle Of All

The Greatest Miracle Of All

We kept our heads on the pillow

and then we zoomed off to sleep

and then at the appointed time

the Hand of God tapped us on our shoulders

And we jumped out of bed

healthy, full of life and of a sound mind

Not all who went to bed as we did

experienced this latest miracle of life

the miracle of being in the land of the living

The greatest miracle of all

It's a new day

It's Saturday

It's the weekend

Whatever else we do today

Remember to give Him thanksgiving and adoration

He Whose Mighty Hands woke you up this morning

Have a trendy weekend

The Truth - 2

*The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But The Truth*

So your neighbour's  child is attending the elitist Eton College and you must kill yourself so that your child can also go there in order to show that you are not made of inferior stuff?

So the one who is your best friend has just built an 8 Bedroom all-terraced mansion and you feel that God no longer loves you since He has not empowered you to do likewise?

Listen up
Life is not about competition, it is all about cooperation.

It is your competitive nature that has brought many of those ailments to you or about to

Recognize the fact that we all have different life lines and routes and that the only competition you should really have is with yourself

To improve yourself by 1% every day is the competition worth entering into

Now, that is  *the Truth, the WHOLE Truth and nothing but the Truth*

Get Your 'BUT' Out Of The Way

I have come across quite a number of persons who in conversation say to me -

Doctor, I really want to be an achiever BUT
or
Doctor, I want to have the best things of life BUT
or
Doctor, I would really want to do something unique BUT

And at all those times, I always say back to them

You could be what you want to be
You could do what you want to do
You could have what you want to have

if only you would just get your 'BUT' out of the way

I want you to do something
Start today to practice what I call the 'BUT MINDFULNESS' - now that simply means for you to take note of the number of times you use the word BUT in your sentences about the things you want to be or do or have or the place you want to go, you will discover that the only thing standing between you and all those things is BUT and it's your own BIG BUT

Why?
because the Universe has given you everything you need or want in large quantities and it is only your BUT that is keeping you from accessing them.

Choose Your Struggle

*Nobody ever gets what they DESERVE, people get what they WORK FOR*

So if you really desire to have a *LION SHARE* of life's goodies, then you need just one thing
a *LION'S HEART*

And to acquire a Lion's heart, you must CHOOSE your struggles, don't let your struggles choose you.

Mother Nature will always throws spanners into your life's moving wheels so as to distract you from going after your goals, you must choose to *FOCUS with CLARITY* on that which you earnestly desire.

*ELIMINATE* the great noise of sounding cymbals of empty vessels

*STOP the BLAME GAME* - stop blaming your past for your present realities, yes sure your mistakes of the past must have made a great contribution to how your today is BUT there is no road to the past, all roads lead forwards to the future.

Stop blaming your parents for how your life has turned out, don't forget that as soon as a man reaches the age of reasoning, he becomes directly responsible for what becomes of his life.

Stop blaming your poor background for your continued romance with poverty - it is not your fault that you were born into a poor family, Mother Nature put you there so that you can escape out of poverty by dint of your own hard work, so it is your fault if you are still romancing with poverty even when you ought to have bid it an eternal farewell.

Stop blaming others for your state of unhappiness, happiness is a choice and you can choose it; if you refuse to be happy, nobody can help you.

Today, don't just wish it, work it and free yourself from all entanglements of struggles that do not pay you any dividend.

Choose your struggles

Who Does Success Belong To?

This question has been on the lips of many people all through the Centuries.

And it's not like it is very difficult to answer,
it is just that the answer does not seem obvious to many people.

Like I have said here many times, success is imprinted on our DNA.

Every man born of a woman and every woman conceived by another woman has that eternal command - Go ye and succeed

However just like any other thing in life, not all persons choose to listen and hear and then obey that command

For those who obey the command, they turn out to be exceedingly successful and for those who do not obey, well - they turn out to be not quite successful

Are You 18 - 25 Years Old?

I want to tell you something

Right now, you are in the age bracket where things happen - the good, the bad, the ugly and sometimes even the very ugly.

Your hormones are raging wild and you want to taste all the tasteables

You want to impress your mates and show them that you are no baby any longer

You want to prove that you are now a man or woman as the case may be

And so you spend time on social media sites comparing notes

You upload pictures of things that you have never done and claim that they are really from you

You visit the Kardashians' Instagram Pages and you wonder why you are not like them

You visit Jeff Besos' instagram page and you think that he's stinkingly rich and yet he does not know you

Let me tell you something

All those seconds and minutes and hours you spend on Instagram and other social media sites comparing notes with people you don't know and may never get to meet in person and wishing that you were like them is WASTED TIME

It is time you should channel into doing something creative to better your lot in life

One fact you need to allow sink into your brain right now is that social media life is a false life - most people photoshop pictures and post on their handles pretending to be doing what the pictures say but in real life, they are not like that, so when you watch such posts and you get envious or jealous or even angry at your God, you are losing it.

And such a feeling makes you want to taste success in a hurry as a matter of NOW, forgetting that "success is not a destination, it is a journey"

At this age of yours, chances are that you are either in a Higher Institution of Learning or you actually, have graduated.

Now if you're still a student, how are you using your time?
Playing around most of the time?
taking in all junks in terms of food and drinks and the others?
chasing all in skirts or trousers?
having flings here and there, sowing your wild oats?
being a party freak?
having good times, so much fun?
Allowing your mates to convince and confuse you?
And then remembering to read only when the Examination Time Table is released? Yes??

Does anyone still need to ask why you have a certificate but cannot defend your degree?

Does anyone still need to ask why you are unable to make one complete sentence in English without adding a local exclamation or even broken words?

Let's say you are already a Graduate and peradventure you are serving your Fatherland if you're a Nigerian; all that talk about you acquiring skills for a living make no sense to you because your Pastor or Imam has told you that "Your case is different" and that "Companies will locate you in your house and give you an appointment letter"

Your mind is sold to "getting a good job after service" and when you're asked what constitutes a good job, you're like "a good pay with other perks"

The fact that so many other persons who were also told by their Pastors and Imams that their cases were different  but who have spent years waiting for their cases to become different in a world filled with indifference does not seem obvious to you

So you finish youth service and with no other skills except the certificate you're banding around and with no other plan except to "pick up a good job with good pay in a good Company" you start counting the years 1 year, 2 years, 3 years and your Pastor or Imam still keeps telling you that your case is different - but of course it has become.

Then you arrive at that frustration point where you're forced by circumstances to pick up a job quite below your expectations and then you start the 9 to 5 grind at a job you hate with a passion but have to do so as to have a meal on your dining table and your singsong becomes "30 days make 1 meal"

The time to pick sense my friend is NOW

When you're in School, do exactly what you were sent there to do - READ

Don't just cram to pass examinations, read to understand the subject so that you will be able to defend your degree when you eventually earn it

When you're serving, take nothing for granted, learn whatever skill you can "don't just burn the time on your hands, use it effectively"

Arm yourself with Plans A, B, C, and even D so that when the service year is over, you won't only be dropping CVs all over the place, but you'll be busy making a life

Making a good life is a process that comes with patience. You must have to fall in love with the process, you must deploy patience while executing the process

The process is not automatic unless you were born with a golden spoon in your mouth but if you were born without any spoon in your mouth at all, then you've got to establish the process of making a good life and that starts right at this age bracket (18 - 25)

Decide what you want out of life and then go and build it

Today, go and start a side hustle. If you've got digital skills, then deploy them to digital marketing.

The old popular saying that "Slow and steady wins the race" is still very much apt even in the now because like I said earlier - "Life is a marathon and not a sprint"

And right now, drop all forms of competition; just know that you're competing with yourself

Every day, work on improving yourself by 1% and in 100 days time, you would have hit 100%

Decide, Plan, Act, Succeed, rinse and repeat - that's the solid key to success

And if you're 18 to 25 years of age, you are in the best time of life - use it WISELY

Are You Doing It?

When you know within yourself that there's something you want to do

and I believe that each of us was born with a purpose

I believe that all of us have something that we are supposed to do

and that all of us have some goodness within us
and that goodness gives us a responsibility to manifest our greatness

So for you to have your dream come through it's necessary that you have to work on it

that you develop yourself

that you go for what is yours in the universe Every single day you wake up you better be
spending time with your dream
you better keep it on the front burner

You better be visualizing every single day
There's no time to waste, you must give the realization of your dream a sense of urgency

that's the character

Your pursuit is not of titles, nor of success in itself, it is the character that defines success which in turn, defines the theme and it starts right there

Right where you are now - whether you are in the Gym or in the Training Room or in the field of play or in the Laboratory, you better when others are sleeping, you better be working when they are lazying around

If you have to be a champion, you simply have got to develop the champion mentality, do it when it is most difficult

This is your dream, you are the driver so expect no other person to come to your aid, do it

the problem with some people is that they want someone else to support their dream

But the dream is yours
so if you want to make it happen, then you've got to it your all

You have to take the waves in high tide and low tide, in shallow waters and deep waters

if you want it bad enough then you have to go out and fight for it day and night

You must give up the pleasures of life for a season to make your dream come through

You must give up the time you spend on worthless and meaningless and unfruitful conversations to brainstorm on the ways and means of achieving your dreams

because if you fail to, life would seem useless and worthless without it

but when you do achieve it, you'd be  glad that your sweat was not in vain

You have got to lose all your terror of the opposition, of the naysayers, of the negs

You've to focus with a single mind on your course - the mission of your life - with faith, hope, confidence and tenacity.

Neither heat nor cold, nor poverty nor hunger, nor mild sickness should keep you away from working on your goals every single day

Now concerning life, it is pertinent that you know that life is always changing
sometimes you're up sometimes you're down

So you need to know and be aware of the fact that things are not going to work out exactly right at all times

Sometimes they will sometimes they will not and that's when life is just playing the game with you

It's not about how talented you are

It's not about your degrees or other certifications

It's not even about how hardworking and dedicated you are

there'll always be the times when things aren't going to go right they'll just go wrong

Those are the times when anything that can happen will happen

but during those down moments that's
where the growth takes place

that's where the work is

Anybody can feel good
when they have their health,
their bills are paid
they have loving and happy relationships

anybody can be positive then

anybody can have a larger vision then

anybody can have faith under those kinds of
circumstances

Who Said It'd Be Easy?

It's not easy
It's hard to change your life
I'm talking about the problem in your life
I don't know how you're handling it but you just have to handle it
because the problem will not just go away on its own,

you've got to handle it.

You can't sleep it away,
you can't drink it away;

you'll wake up from your sleep and it's right there beside you starring you in the face
tormenting you

You'd become sober after your drunken stupor and it will be right there hurting you the more; it's always tugging at the very fabric of your soul, you wish it's not there but anywhere and everywhere you look, it's waving at you and tormenting you

So I'm telling you today to DEAL with your problem;

and the sooner you deal with it, the sooner you get your rewards,

the sooner you get on the other side of it, the sooner you begin to feel fulfillment

The sooner you get on the other side of your problem, the sooner you'd be on the side of self-actualization and your dream becomes a reality

The sooner you get on the other side of your problem, the sooner you'd find out that there-in lies the world of success

The sooner you deal with the fact that you have anxieties, the sooner you'd be a free person

Deal with it, it's not the end of the world

Deal with the problem because when you do, you'd create a solution for it and you just get over it - Deal with it

That you and your children don't have the best of relationships - deal with it

Deal with the fact that you are procrastinating

Deal with the fact that it's hard for you to execute things

Deal with the fact that every time something happens, you're so worried about it

Deal with the fact that you have this attack of nerves (anxiety) every time you're about to reach another level of success

Deal with the fact that you're struggling with your success

Deal with the fact that you feel guilty that you're successful - deal with it

Start working on your dream

Most people don't work on their dreams because of either the fear of failure - they can't handle shame because they don't think it will work out - or fear of success - what if things work out and they can't handle it? -

Again most people don't work on their dreams because they become comfortable with who they are at the present time - that's their comfort zone -
they stop growing,
they stop working on themselves,
they stop stretching, they stop pushing themselves,
they stop expanding and start contracting and they end up becoming cynical about life and they then throw in the towel on themselves, on their family members, on their dreams.

And the other thing is that most people don't feel worthy of success because they did not have a College Degree or they take to heart what other people are saying to them and they do not believe in themselves and so they fail to act on their ideas.

Let  me tell you something my friend
All you need to achieve success is a belief in yourself and your capabilities and a belief in your Creator - Your Silent Senior Partner -

So it's possible for you to choose your future and to create it

but to do that, it's necessary for you to work on yourself and develop yourself
It's necessary that you get the energy drainers out of your life - people who don't want anything out of life, people who are not challenging themselves anymore,
people who are no longer striving,
people who have given up on life,
people who are not growing,
people who have stopped dreaming -
these are the energy drainers you need to extrude them out of your life
It's necessary that you align yourself with people who are hungry for success,
people who are unstoppable,
people who are refusing to live life just as it is (default mode), people who are asking more out of life,
people who would not take no for an answer.

There's this popular saying that "birds of the same feather flock together"

so if you run around with losers, you'll end up a loser.

It's necessary that you get the losers out of your life

If you want to change your life's default mode, it's necessary that you realize that no one is going to do that for you except you
And even though you face disappointments, even though you experience some set backs, it all comes with the territory.

If you are starting something new and you call for meetings and no one attends, even if someone says to you "count me in" and they don't come around, you won't just give up on yourself, you've got to continue believing in yourself, you've got to continue visioning your dreams and goals
and you've got to keep saying "It's never over until I win, until I succeed"

To succeed, you'll encounter difficulties, you'll meet obstacles, you'd fail severally, you'd be disappointed severally, even by your own family and trusted friends,
you'd suffer lots of setbacks,
you'd suffer anguish and pains, defeat will laugh at you most times

but if each you fall down, you rise again, you shall overcome.

The trials and temptations will teach you things that you didn't know you possessed like the fact that you have greatness inside of you,
the fact that you are powerful beyond measure
and the subtle fact that you're greater than your circumstances
and that you can't afford to go through life as if you were a victim when just a little more push would tilt you down the road to victory.

So I want to invite you right now to think about that your dream - yes that dream that won't let you have peace of mind,
that dream that won't let you sleep well,
that dream that makes your heart skip a beat, that dream that you wish you had all the money in the world to chase, pursue and close it in - yes that your dream

I want you to begin to envision it right now, visualize its completion, its attainment

10 Absolutely Amazing Success Rules From Bruce Lee

Had it not been for Bruce Lee and his movies in the early 1970s, it's arguable whether or not the martial arts film genre would have ever penetrated and influenced mainstream North American and European cinema and audiences the way it has over the past four decades.

The influence of East Asian martial arts cinema can be seen today in so many other film genres including comedies, action, drama, science fiction, horror, and animation.....and they all have their roots in the phenomenon that was Bruce Lee.

Approximately one year later the family returned to Kowloon in Hong Kong and at the age of five, a young Bruce began appearing in children's roles in minor films including The Birth of Mankind (1946) and Fu gui fu yun (1948).

At the age of 12, Bruce commenced attending La Salle College. Bruce was later beaten up by a street gang, which inspired him to take up martial arts training under the tutelage of "Sifu Yip Man" who schooled Bruce in Wing Chun kung fu for a period of approximately five years.

This was the only formalized martial arts training ever undertaken by Lee.

The talented & athletic Bruce also took up cha-cha dancing and, at the age of 18, won a major dance championship in Hong Kong.
