21 Commitments To Keep In 2021

21 Commitments To Keep In 2021

Every year comes with its own bags and baggage. There is no particularly bad year neither is there any particularly good year. Each year is an admixture of the good, the bad, the ugly and the very ugly.

However, over time it has been observed that persons who set out at the beginning of each year some standards to commit to and do eventually commit to them, tend to have better experiences than those who just waltz through the year.

This is the reason we are suggesting to you to religiously keep these 21 commitments and see how the year turns out for you

They are

1.      Commit to God

          -        He is your Senior Partner

          -        Make Him Number 1 in all you do

          -        He is still ABLE

2.      Commit to your Family

          -        They are your home base and your number one fans

          -        They will be there for you when everyone else has walked out

          -        show them love like your life depends on it because it sure does

3.      Commit to your Job/Career

          -        No job is to be taken lightly so long as bringing food into the house depends on it

          -        put in an honest day's job for an honest day's pay

          -        don't leave a job you can do today for tomorrow, always endeavour to max out your working day

          -        continuous personal and professional development are essential for your career growth

4.      Commit to Friends/Colleagues

          -        friendship is a two -way street - don't be a parasite

          -        as much as lieth in you be at best pf  terms with work place colleagues - they can make or mar you

5.      Commit to Truth and Honesty

          -        they are like twins, one cannot be found without the other

          -        truth makes you sleep well at night

          -        honesty still pays great dividends

          -        both are adornments for a person of character

6.      Commit to Gratitude

          -        Being  grateful on daily basis for what you have places you at a higher level to receive what else you need

          -        gratitude is still the best attitude

          -        Cultivate the habit of giving thanks for every experience and every interaction life sends your way, either good or bad because all of them are meant to contribute to your growth and evolution.

7.      Commit to being Open and Receptive

          -        stop being fixated on certain expectations of yours. Life has its own plans for you, be open to learn from life and humble enough to receive her lessons

          -        Grow as your learn

8.    Commit to being Malleable and Adaptable

       -      Allow life to shape you and to mold you in a majestically and graceful way.

       -      you can bloom where-ever you are planted

9.    Commit to Surrender

       -      Surrender to what is

       -      stop swimming against the tide

       -      stop trying to reinvent the wheel

10.         Commit to Letting Go

              -      Let go of fixed plans and concepts and allow events to follow their natural course

              -      stop sweating the small stuff

              -      choose the battles you want to engage in

              -      stop throwing stones at every dog that barks at you on your life's journey

11. Commit to Accept Life

              -      Accept life unconditionally and trust that it’s all happening for your highest good

              -      accept that you are a child of the Universe and you are here to thrive

              -      Accept that with faith and perseverance, you shall arrive at your destiny

12.         Commit to Embrace your Daily Challenges

              -      Embrace with grace all that you face on daily basis

              -      remember that every challenge is for an experience and a lesson to be learnt

       - stop complaining about how bad things are, they could be worse

13.         Commit to Be Soft

              -      Be soft, fluid and yielding, just like water is, and you will overcome whatever is rigid and hard

              -      be angry but act not in anger

14.         Commit to Trust.

              -      Trust that God is your Ultimate Provider and Defender

              -      Trust that you are quipped to live life to the max

              - Trust that other beings are here for your good even if they do you bad

Trust the wisdom of life more than your own wisdom.

15.         Commit to living in the Moment

              -      Treasure the moment. Don’t let it pass by you unnoticed

              -      stop worrying about the things you have no control over

       -      enjoy the moment you are in, the next minute is neither promised nor guaranteed

16. Commit to being of Good Cheer Always

              -      Be of good cheer, there is always another way

              -      do not carry the problems of the world on your shoulders, do the beat you can and allow others to do theirs

              -      there is no state of absolute nothingness, there's something you have that another is searching for

17.  Commit to Reading at least a Book every 3 months

              -      read widely, read voraciously

              -      reading helps you to learn more, travel more, and engage more

              -      reading helps to keep your brain cells very functional and active

18.         Commit to Speaking from the Heart

       -      Speak with love, speak from the heart. Speak in such a way that people love to listen to you.

       -      And when people talk, listen with your heart. Listen in such a way that they all love to speak to you.

 19.      Commit to Work with Love

       -      Whatever you do in life, work at it with all your heart.

       -      Work at it with love, passion, and dedication,

 20.  Commit to Becoming all that life created you to become

       -      Be who life created you to be, not who the world thinks you should be. “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” ~ Catherine of Siena

21.  Commit to a Mentor/Life Coach

       -      A Mentor is your Accountability Partner

       -      Mentoring shortens the learning curve

       -      Mentoring bridges the acquisition of the 10, 000 hours you need to master any art

There you have them

Make them a daily diet and conquer the year

May the year bring you all that your heart and soul desire, and may you receive all your blessings, obvious or disguised, with grace and gratitude

All the best

It's Here - Finally Year 2021 Has Arrived

It's Here - Finally Year 2021 Has Arrived

Hurray, finally Year 2021 has made its grand entry into our lives.

Since the 1st of December 2020, we have been waiting and expecting to see January 1 2021.

We fasted, we prayed, we went to the Mountain and slept on the plains, We went up the Hills to have a foresight of the year but No, we did not, all we could do was wish and wish and wish.

Finally our wish has come true. God in His Infinite Mercies has led us by His Mighty Hand and brought us into 2021

So, this is the new year, the year 2021.

What are you going to do with it?

That's a personal question and no one else can answer it for you but we can only suggest that whatever you choose to do with this year, do not abandon the driver's seat on your ship - Your Life is your very own space ship - be on the driver's seat, take responsibility for your life. Stop allowing others to rent your grey matter, put it to effective use for yourself. It is time for you to be the Architect and Builder of your own life and the Master and Captain of your own soul

There is GOD and under Him I pronounce unto you that in

This Year - 2021

You shall experience growth and elevation

Your borders shall be expanded and your coasts enlarged

God shall perfect all that concerns you, He shall fight your battles and you shall just hold your peace

No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise up in judgement against you shall be condemned

God shall be Your Provider, Protector, Shield and Guardian and under His very watchful Eyes, nothing shall be by any means hurt you.

It's a year of manifold blessings and you have been rightly positioned to appropriate the blessings

Always be grateful

Happy New Year

And a very prosperous one

Always be Blessed and be Happy

Top 5 Things To Do In Order To Be Successful

MY FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR - 18. 01. 19

Topic:    Top 5 Things To Do In Order To Be Successful

There are popular sayings about success that I am hinging this presentation on.

It is said that "success is not a destination but a journey", this simply means that there are many facets or faces of success and that one might be successful in one facet and be challenged in the other facet and so one continually pursues success in all the facets even as we pursue excellence and perfection.

It is also said that "success has many relatives but failure is an orphan", the man who has achieved success in one field of endeavour continually attracts more success in that field, this keeps him very busy and active much unlike the person in the same field of endeavour but who has  not made a mark.

And it is also said that "success leaves trails", no sentence could be truer than this. The successful person continually drops hints of how he achieved success as he interacts with people either at workshops or seminars or talks and these trails could be picked by anyone and used to achieve their own success.

In order therefore to be successful, here is the list of my Top 5 things to do in this 2019 to be successful

1.    Avoid Procrastination Like The Plague

If you have never achieved much in any particular year, it can be related to the fact that you think that the year is waiting for you; in contrariwise, the year is on the move, whether you are moving with or not, it's just moving and unfortunately, you simply can't catch up with if you allow it to give you such a long gap.

This is what procrastination does to us, it makes us postpone for tomorrow that which we can do today because we think that we shall have more time tomorrow and we forget that tomorrow comes with its own challenges that would also demand our time.

So if you must succeed, you must chase procrastination out of your life and do it immediately.

Whatever comes your way and needs to be done, should be done without delay.

My personal mantra over the years has been - Do It Now and it has helped me quite a lot.

Avoid procrastination as you would avoid the bubonic plague.

2.    Embrace Change

It is popularly said that the only thing that is constant in life is change and I am not talking about it as a political slogan but as a fact of life and living.

Whether we accept it or not, we are changing on daily basis, not only our bodies but also our physical environment continues to change.

Technological development has left many of us trudging along behind because we are not able to cope with the speed of change.

Yesterday, it was the analog telephone that was the in-thing, then Thuraya came but today, all those big phones have become big for nothing, a small phone can do what a computer can do because chips and microchips are now being deployed to do what cannot be done before.

In order therefore not to be left behind, embrace that which is new and learn its ways so that you can benefit maximally from its use.

Change is necessary for self-development; both mentally and physically if you want to live a happy life.

At our work places, change is crucial if you want to get recognition and promotions.

You can get quality education to make your CV rich and get a better understanding of the business world.

If nothing changed, everything would become stagnant and never improve.

So, give up your resistance to change

3.    Give Up Your Fears

Fear is the senior brother of procrastination. The fear of the unknown is a very terrible thing indeed and helps to keep us chained at one particular place without making any efforts to take a trip because we are afraid of the outcome of that trip.

But do you know that Fear is a state of the mind? and that we allow ourselves to dwell in that state because it is conducive for us!

There are decisions we need to take, things we need to do but we allow fear to hold us back and down and by the time we realize the harm we had done to ourselves, the years have left us behind.

This, however, is not to disparage genuine and real fears, like the fear of doing any dangerous exercise that may cost us our lives, that kind of fear is what keeps us going but any other kind of fear that keeps us away from what we need to do should be done away with

Fear is a dangerous intangible thing that can hinder your progress and affect your relationships.

It was Roosevelt who said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

So this year, replace fear with love and curiosity and watch yourself grow rich in experience.

When fear comes knocking on your door, let courage answer it

4.    Give Up Self-Deprecation

If your mindset is that which often thinks low about you, certainly you'd always talk down on yourself

Low self-esteem is a dangerous thing and often leads to persons having suicidal tendencies.

Undervaluing yourself is surely not the way to go because it ruins your self-confidence and makes you feel bitter all the time.

Self-deprecation always puts one in a sorry state.

This year, remind yourself that you are alive not by your own might and power but by the Infinite Power and your Senior Partner

Remind yourself that life is beautiful and thus needs to be lived while one still has the opportunity to live it.

So, it doesn't really matter what your personal situation is right now, what matters is that you are alive and only the living can have hope because once there is life, there is hope.

Speak up for yourself, never take No for an answer

Regardless of the situation, you are in now, don’t ever think the worst of yourself.

Patience is a virtue and it will help you deal with the discomfort in a way that best suits your life and the people around you.

Why don’t you inspire yourself and work hard to achieve your dreams?

5.    Give Up Over- thinking And Thinking Small

Many people are challenged in the area of thinking.

Some find themselves in the habit of always thinking so much about what has come to them that they even become sick from such action.

It is good to think, that is why we have Philosophers who propound theories of existence from what they have thought out, however, too much thinking or over thinking as the case may be is not good for your health.

I would that you rather practice critical thinking.
Face the situation squarely, analyze it, check the cons and the pros, and then make a decision.

Over-thinking results in over analyzing and which will end up causing paralysis of analysis and leave you prostrate without taking any action.

On the other side of the coin is Small Thinking.
Again quite a lot of people are challenged by small thinking.

They never believe that they are worth more than they are at the moment and so when issues come up that demand higher and bigger thoughts, they get lost.

I need to remind us that we are all born genius without exceptions but most people fail to succeed because of their limited thinking.

Today break that barrier and unleash the you that you are supposed to be.

Give free rein to your thoughts, stop limiting yourself.

Infact, people are often advised to think outside the box if they want to have better answers to issues that are confronting them, today I want to ask you to BREAK THAT BOX and release yourself to be free to operate in a world that you have a right to be in.

Do these and I shall see you in the next Online Edition

Happy New Year

When we sleep and wake up in the morning hale and hearty, we may not appreciate how miraculous that is and so we tend to take it for granted. I need to remind you that hundreds of thousands of people go to bed in the night and before the morning dawns, they have transited to the land where the dead go to; other hundreds of thousands go to bed and wake up in a shape that was not how they were when they went to bed and all that.

And so when you wake up from sleep, hale, hearty and of sound mind, you simply have to be grateful to the Creator.

Not all who saw January 1st, 2018, are alive today to witness January 1st, 2019 and since God has made it possible for us to be here today, we simply have to be grateful.

And in this New Year, I have just one wish for you - that you realize what is of utmost importance to you, that which your heart doubles in its beating at the mention of it, that which you crave with all your being and just PURSUE IT

If you never go for what you desire, there is no way you can get it

Rise up and take the first step

Happy New Year to you and all that is yours

Make These Your New Year Resolutions No Matter Which Else

15 New Year’s Resolutions Every Person Should Actually Make

Making New Year’s resolutions and staying committed to them can be a challenging thing for a lot of people.

And even though I think it’s important to have a vision, a clear direction or goal before starting the New Year, all these New Year’s resolution lists can create a lot of stress and anxiety in people, causing them to feel disappointed when things don’t go as planned.

And that’s the reason why I created this list of 15 New Year’s Resolutions Every Person Should Make.

This is a different kind of New Year’s Resolutions List, a list that’s meant to help you do the things you want to do, while at the same time learning to be calm, flexible, open and receptive when things don’t go as planned.

Because you and I know that life doesn’t always goes as planned, and that’s okay.

Anyway, here are 15 New Year’s Resolutions Every Person Should Make.

1.     Be Open and Receptive
Be open and receptive to whatever life sends your way.

2.     Allow.
Allow life to shape you and to mold you in a majestical and graceful way.

3.    Surrender.
Surrender to what is.

 4.     Let go

Let go of fixed plans and concepts and allow events to follow their natural course.

5.    Accept.
Accept life unconditionally and trust that it’s all happening for your highest good.

6.    Embrace.
Embrace with grace all that you face.

7.    Be soft.
Be soft, fluid and yielding, just like water is, and you will overcome whatever is rigid and hard.

8.   Trust.
Trust the wisdom of life more than your own wisdom.

9.     Treasure The Moment

Treasure the moment. Don’t let it pass by you unnoticed.

10.    Be of good cheer.
Be of good cheer, there is always another way.

11.    Where there is no love, put love.
Follow the advice of St. John of the cross, and “Where there is no love, put love — and you will find love.”

12.     Give Thanks For All Things

Cultivate the habit of giving thanks for every experience and every interaction life sends your way, either good or bad because all of them are meant to contribute to your growth and evolution.

13. Speak from the heart.
Speak with love, speak from the heart.
Speak in such a way that people love to listen to you.
And when people talk, listen with your heart.

14.     Work With Love

Whatever you do in life, work at it with all your heart.
Work at it with love, passion, and dedication, “as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” ~ (NIV) Colossians 3:23

15.    Seek to become all that life created you to become.
Be who life created you to be, not who the world thinks you should be.

“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” ~ Catherine of Siena

New Year Resolutions - Did You Make Any?

Every year at about this time, a lot of people set on paper what they intend to drop and what they intend to pick up in the new year.

I remember years ago, when I was still trying to understand life and the process of living, I never really was into new year resolutions because for me then, it was easier written than done.

What I mean is that it was easy to write down all the things in the world that I was doing "wrong" and would love to drop and the ones that I actually would love to take on; but no sooner the resolutions were made than they were broken.

I considered it then as an exercise in futility.

But when I turned 18 so many years ago, I came to realize that it was not the paper on which the resolutions were written that actually made it difficult for me to keep, but my mindset. I realized that I was the one sabotaging my own efforts at being a "better" person and so I told myself that I needed to 'alter my mindset" and I did that.

For over 50 years since then, no year has passed by without my resolutions being written out on paper and without me going all out to ensure that I keep to them.

And as the years have gone by, my resolutions have continued to drop in number, no longer about things to drop, guess all the habits are set now; but more on what to give and how to give it.

That's it

And so, how about you?
Do you make resolutions?
Have you found it worth the while?
or do you think it is an exercise in futility?

Share your opinion with me

And have a wonderful day

Happy New Year

It is that time and period when we rejoice that God has done it again for us.

In allowing us to not only see the last day of the outgone year, but also in bringing us into the new year, He has done what no man can ever do.

And because it is of His own mercy that we are in, then He would definitely guard and guide us with His Mighty Right Hand that nothing shall by any means harm us.

But there is one thing, we must never take God for granted for he who does that would surely remain grounded

And in 2016, if you really want to fly, then keep God where He ought to live, right inside your heart occupying your very soul and mind.

If you allow Him to take you by hand, then my friend, you shall not only achieve all you set out to achieve in this very year of 2016 but you would also arrive your destination safely.

Happy New Year my friends

May this year bring you closer to all that you want which have given you a source for concern for so long.

And that's my prayer for myself too

Let God Reign
