Some Home Truths You Need To Know
1. When you’re ascending, keep your mouth shut.
Don't boast. Some righteous people with the PHD certificate are waiting to do
what they love to do best - pull you down
2. Mind who you communicate your unborn ideas and plans to. Some people will steal your ideas and get them running before you even have the time to say Jack
3. When you're working hard, don't announce what you're doing. Wait till the results speak for themselves.
4. Yes, one good turn deserves another but don't
expect that because you were good to someone, they will in turn be good to you.
Some people practice UAD - USE AND DUMP
5. Never lend money to a friend or a brother, you will never get it back. Money has scattered families and friendships.
6. There is only one job you have on daily basis and that is HOW TO MAKE YOURSELF BETTER THAN YOU WERE YESTERDAY
7. Beware of gossips and tale- bearers, they are usually liars and they can sell you for just a morsel of meat
8. There are hearts made out of flesh from where agape love flows and there are hearts made out of bones from where hatred flows. Which do you possess? Judge yourself
9. Hard work surely pays and no one has ever been said to have died from hard work but when you are working so hard and getting little dividends, it's time to re-evaluate what you're doing.
10. If you want big things to happen to you, take notice of the small things happening to you now and be grateful for them.
11. Sometimes what you’re trying to hold onto is exactly what you should let go. Know when to call it quits
12. If you want to buy things without looking at the price, work without looking at the clock.
13. God puts people in your life for a reason, and removes them from your life for a better reason.
14. The devil wouldn’t be attacking you so hard if there wasn’t something valuable in you. Thieves don’t break into empty houses. But check well within you that you are not the devil incarnate
15 You’re going to piss a lot of people off when you start doing what’s best for you.
16. You will lose a lot of friends when you get really serious about your life goals.
17. Life does not get EASIER. You just get STRONGER.
18. Do not ask for that cup of bitters be taken away from you, rather ask that you be given the strength to bear its taste
19. Stop forcing yourself on people. Stop forcing people to love you. Stop pleasing people to be in their good books. If they don't love you, bring heaven down to them, they still would not
20. Be yourself. Live the life given to you. Stop waiting for people to do things for you, go do them. There is only one YOU on planet Earth and if you remember that YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, then you have to put in all your energy in living this life right here right now.

Those nuggets are words on marble but one of the mystery of life is that it is easier said than done. I support the advice that money should not be borrowed or collected from friends and relatives but how can one survive in difficult times and in a society like ours particularly when one does not have collateral to approach financial institutions?
ReplyDeleteOur elementary knowledge of economics posits that friends and family members are sources of capital generation for business start ups. This I believe holds true everywhere.
Notwithstanding, I think that it is better to help those that we can with what we have without thinking of the reward. In so doing, we will be at peace with our mind and with God. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece and remain richly blessed.
While it is true that family is a source of capital when someone is raising startup money but I have always advised that instead of giving a loan, support with what you can afford so that the relationship is not spoilt if the borrower is unable to pay back which is the case most of the time
