Monday Morning Motivation - Gratitude Is The Greatest Attitude

Gratitude Is The Greatest Attitude

Growing up, my Father taught me that gratitude is the best route to getting anything one wanted out of life. It was not a lesson taught by words but one taught by actions. Because I noticed that whenever he did something for me and I forgot to thank him, the next time I ask, he would delay so much that I ended up forgetting what it was I even asked for in the first place but whenever he did something for me and I immediately thanked and appreciated him, the next time I ask, he would do it without delay. That was how I learnt that lesson and it has taken me to places and gotten me things I ordinarily may not have had easily.

I have learnt to be grateful for what I have and I have always ended up having more.

I have always refused to hunger for the little things I don't have because focusing on them takes me away from the realm of being grateful to my Maker for all the multitude of the things He has bestowed on me which money alone cannot buy.

Sometimes we are too busy thinking about all the things we don't have or all the opportunities we have missed and lost that we forget to actually live in the present appreciating what is in our lives especially the most important single factor that we are still ALIVE and BREATHING, And that only the living can have hope of a tomorrow and make plans for such a tomorrow.

An Igbo proverb has it that "ekele onye akidi, ya agwota ozo" meaning when "you appreciate the one who prepared the bean salad, she would bend over backwards and bring some more"

The time has come and is actually now when men should learn to live in the present and stop being worried about yesterday or concerned about tomorrow - both of which they have no control over.

Live in the present.

Live your life to the fullest

Learn how to appreciate the little things of life, they are the things that bring the most joy and happiness.

Be kind to yourself

No matter your expectations, don't beat up yourself when you don't meet them

There is no man alive who has all his expectations met

In this game of life, you win some and you lose some but life continues.

Life is not a bed of red roses

It will be hard

There will be trials of your faith

There will be turmoil

There will be landslide disappointments

You shall be betrayed by friends and family

But being grateful for the life you have

shall place you a pedestal ahead of all your detractors put together

Gratitude is the greatest attitude to attain your highest altitude

Real happiness is not found in money or things or fame or possessions no matter how costly or expensive, not even when you have achieved a particular success you have hankered after for a long time. Real happiness lies in GRATITUDE.

Gratitude gives you the strength to go on.

It gives you the strength you need to be stronger to face all the challenges of life

It gives you the strength you need to accept yourself as you are

It gives you the strength you need to cherish the blessings you have on daily basis

It gives you the strength to love yourself and be able to love others as you love yourself

So from today, learn to be grateful, learn to be alive, learn to live every moment as if it's your last.

Self Discipline Is It!

Self Discipline Is It!

How many times have you attended a Church service or Friday Jumat and came out with the impression that the Preacher of the day killed the sermon? - that is he spoke truth to the Words of God!

How many times have you allowed yourself to be reminded of the things you actually know but fail to do?

How often do you leak away the motivation that is in you already?

Our inability to do things we ought to be doing is the undoing of many a man and this is simply because we allow our brain to control us in such as a way as to keep us lazy

Listen, your brain was designed to keep you lazy, it was not meant to help you succeed, if you want success, then you must re-wire your brain.

You must wear the garment of self discipline because that is what it will take to make you productive.

Depending on your brain to help you succeed is like depending on facebook to make you socially valuable  and relevant because it is a social media site.

So when we start to question whether we are really going to get down to some work, whether it's too late to make a start, whether we should watch the James Bond movie on TV instead, we start to 'leak' motivation.

Any time you leave what you ought to be doing to do what you ought not to be doing, you are leaking motivation  and self discipline is not in you.

Make self-discipline 'non-negotiable'.

I'm guessing you don't um and ah about whether to clean your teeth or flush when you've visited the bathroom (I'm hoping) - these things are unquestioned by you.

Likewise, tell yourself: "I'm not going to listen to excuses or wimp-outs - this is non-negotiable!"

Remember the words of Abraham J. Heschel: "Self respect is the fruit of self discipline, the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say NO to oneself"

If you must create wealth and I mean generational wealth, then you must learn what it means to practice fiscal discipline - you must discipline yourself to the point of being an automatic implementer. When you automate things, you don't think about them again, you just do them.

Every day and every time some shiny object comes into your view to distract you from your chosen route, remind yourself that Sorry, it's non-negotiable

That way, you would become a made person sooner than you realize it.

Go do it

Cheers

The 3 Pillars Of Success Mastery

The 3 Pillars Of Success Mastery

Thanks for being a regular visitor to my blog and for reading my posts

I hope that you are taking these lessons to heart and putting them into action.

I want you to be successful and there was never a better time to do it than right now.

However, you will only achieve what you have earned through having the right mindset, the right strategy, and learning the right skills.

I created a thinking framework that simplifies understanding what it takes to be successful.

I call it the Three Pillars of Success Mastery.

Let me share it with you.

If you want to be successful in any area of your life, you have to MASTER three things.

1.    The first Pillar of Success Mastery is to Master Yourself.

You have to get control over your actions, your thoughts, and your schedule to even stand a chance at ever being successful.

Most people fail because they either give up, don't work hard enough, don't want to make sacrifices, or can't keep a positive mindset. It's a fact.

You have to decide what is important to you and then carve out the time in your schedule to show how important it is.

If you can't find time for your business, but have time to watch television or browse social media, then you don't REALLY want an online business. That is a choice you make in your head.

If you quit working on your business, or jump from program to program, that is a problem with your thinking.

When someone has mastery over themselves, then they can get up early and stay up late if that is what is necessary for success. They can quit television and other entertainment to devote their time and energy on accomplishing their goals. They keep going even when most people would have quit because they know that success isn't easy and "get rich quick" is a myth. They can get themselves to put in the work.

2.    The second pillar of Success Mastery is to Master Your Strategy and Foundations.

You can work really hard and be completely committed to success, but if you are using the wrong strategy, then success will never come.

You can spend months and years climbing the ladder of success only to find out just when you are almost at the top that it is leaning against the wrong wall and it just came tumbling down.

If you were trying to lose weight and your strategy was to eat a gallon of ice cream each day, then you would probably not reach your goal. That is a bad strategy.

If you want reliable online income, then the best strategy is to build an audience of people who know, like and trust you. Then you can sell things to that audience. That is a winning strategy. Trying to sell to strangers (most people's strategy) is a bad idea.

You need to constantly be upgrading your strategy and knowledge of how marketing really works so that you can master the second pillar.

3.    The third pillar of Success Mastery is that you need to Master Key Skills.

You can work hard (Pillar 1) and be following a good strategy (Pillar 2) and still not be successful if you don't know how to execute that strategy.

For example, if your strategy was to build a big email list, send them emails to educate and motivate them and then sell to them, but you don't know how to write emails that are compelling and informative, you are doomed to failure. You are missing that key skill.

If you want to build an audience on YouTube but have no idea how to make a video, then you strategy isn't going to work.

The great thing about Pillar # 3 is that you can learn any key skill that you need to be successful.

Want to write more compelling emails?

Read a book on copy-writing by Dan Kennedy, John Carlton or Gary Halbert.

Take a course on writing emails by Andre Chaperone.

Get a coach or a mentor.

You can learn anything ... if you commit the time to do it.

Most people don't want to do this part because they don't like to learn. Learning new skills seems boring and it takes time to see results. That may be true, but the reality is that time is going to go by anyway. 6 months from now, you could have learned a new skill and gotten results, or you could have wasted your time and money on 5 new "money making opportunities" that didn't pan out. Improving yourself pays off forever.

The Three Pillars of Success Mastery dictates that the amount of success you achieve in life will be held back by whatever pillar you have the lowest level of mastery at. You need to identify which Pillar is the cause of your low performance and focus your energy on improving that area first.

If you are working hard and staying focused, but not getting results, then the problem is probably with Pillar # 2 (Strategy) or Pillar # 3 (Key Skills).

If you can only find 2 hours a week to work on your business, then your problem is definitely with Pillar # 1 (Master Yourself).

Which Pillar is holding you back? What are you going to do to improve that area?

Take ACTION to Supercharge Your Success

August Is Here!

August Is Here!

And the eight month of the year is here - AUGUST is her name.

It is God's grace that has brought us this far, it is neither by our power nor by our might because by strength shall no man prevail.

August has brought with her a lot of goodies and it is your responsibility to pick your choice out of her bag of goodies - whatever you pick is what you get.

So think deep, reflect well before making a choice from the bag of goodies. However, if you don't like what you picked, you can always turn it around but no longer from the bag of goodies because you have only one chance to make a pick BUT by your mind power.

I cannot tell you that all your problems are over in this month because that will be telling a lie - there would be old problems that would resurface and then there will be new problems that will surface BUT whether they surface or resurface, you have been EMPOWERED to deal with them all by your Creator. His grace is abundant and ubiquitous; make every effort to rely on HIM because it is in Him that we LIVE and MOVE and have our BEING.

Happy New Month

Wishing you the best possible outcome of this month

As July Arrives

As July Arrives

The seventh month of the year popularly called July has just arrived and it has brought with it bags and bags of goodies and challenges too to choose from.

I urge you to open your arms very widely to welcome July and to ask the Spirit of God for discernment and the enablement to choose well.

But one thing is certain, irrespective of what you choose, God's gat your back.

He is your Maker, He owns the life you are living and if you are still here (I mean on this Planet), it only means that He still has assignments for you which you have not finished.

And so look up to Him the Author and Finisher of your faith. He is Just, Kind and Merciful and His Steadfastness never ceases.

I wish that you make the best of choices in this month of July, the seventh month, and because 7 stands for perfection, God shall perfect the works of His Hands going on in your life right now.

In this month, remember to count your blessings and see how much you will be surprised by the things that the Lord has been doing for you, the battles He has been fighting for you and the salvation that He has given you at no cost to you.

I wish you overflowing joy, peace and happiness in this month of July 2021.

Happy New Month

As June 2021 Ends

As June 2021 Ends

In the next couple of hours, the month of June, the sixth month of the year would end and go into the bin of eternal history never to resurface again.

The question I always ask myself whenever a month is ending is - What did I do with that month?

And in answering that question, I do some reflections and determine if I achieved my monthly goal that is leading me to successfully achieve my yearly goal in my 5 year development plan. I check the numbers and the figures and see where I deterred and where I upped. This is a ritual and routine I submit myself to, every month end. And then I plan for the new month.

As your friend, permit me to take the liberty of asking you same question - What have you done with June? and have you made a plan for July?

The response is personal to you of course but then since it is said that two good heads are better than one, you may wish to share. I am only a comment away in the comment section of this Blog Post.

It's the end of June, may the Name of the Lord be Praised.

Happy End of Month

Time Wasters To Avoid

 Time Wasters To Avoid

Begin Managing Your Time Right Now

Don't put off dealing with your time management issues any longer.

The more you wait, the further behind you will fall; the further behind you fall, the more difficult your situation will get.

Here are 40 actions that most people do to waste their time:

How many of them do you participate in?

1. Spending too much time during the day reading email

2. Being a member of too many online communities

3. Putting off tasks you don't want to accomplish

4. Checking your social media accounts too often during the day

5. Excessive text texting

6. On the spur of the moment, watching Youtube videos

7. Googling on the internet at random

8. Taking on too many jobs at once

9. Multitasking

10. Complaining or gossiping about others

11. Accusing others of making faults

12. When you first start using new items or software, you don't read the manuals and instructions.

13. Daydreaming

14. Spending too much time pondering insignificant decisions

15. Looking through a cluttered environment for misplaced documents or other objects

16. Excessively neatness

17. Performing tasks that could be entrusted to others.

18.  Micromanaging your employees is number

19.  Allowing subordinates and team members to load problems on you that they should be able to solve themselves.

20. Unnecessarily shifting priorities

21. Failing to take steps to minimize interruptions

22. Writing letters, memoranda, and reports that a secretary or assistant could write

Failure to set goals and objectives (number 23).

24. Failure to set a daily schedule

25. Failure to establish priorities

26. Crisis management

27. Poor meeting planning or management

28. Failure to maintain a proper filling system

29. Misplacing data and materials and failing to return them to their proper locations

30. Making use of antiquated methods

31. Failing to automate time-saving tasks that could be automated.

32. Involvement in personal disputes

33.  Personal insecurity

34. Ineffective communication or poor listening skills

35. During business hours, there are too many personal activities and phone calls.

36. Involvement of too many persons in decision-making

37. Not completing one task before moving on to the next

38. Making or receiving unimportant phone calls

39. Spending an excessive amount of time on phone calls

40. Carrying out trivial or unnecessary duties (busy work)

So, make a plan to eliminate those hours - wasters

Make a note of your most time-consuming hobbies, and then plan to remove or dramatically reduce the amount of time you spend on them to better manage your time.

Writing down the cause of the problem and the methods to remedy it in a worksheet is the greatest way to get something done about those time-wasting activities.

List what needs to be done and who else needs to be involved as you prepare to tackle each challenge.

Start with minor problems if the biggest drain on your time appears to be too complex to solve right now. After you've solved the minor issues, you can move on to the more serious issues.
