How many roads must a man walk down

before they call him a man

How many seas must a white dove sail

before she can sleep in the sand?

How many times must the cannonballs fly

before they're forever banned?

The answer my friend is blowing in the wind

How many years can a mountain exist

before it is washed to the sea?

HOW MANY YEARS CAN SOME PEOPLE EXIST

BEFORE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BE FREE

HOW MANY TIMES CAN A MAN TURN HIS HEAD

AND PRETEND THAT HE JUST DOESN'T SEE

How many times must a man look up

before he can see the sky?

HOW MANY EARS MUST ONE MAN HAVE

BEFORE HE CAN HEAR PEOPLE CRY?

HOW MANY DEATHS WILL IT TAKE TILL HE KNOWS

THAT TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED?

How many times must a man have his wife

before she can give him a son?

HOW MANY TIMES MUST OFFICIALS STEAL

BEFORE THEY CAN BE CALLED THIEVES?

HOW MANY YEARS WILL IT TAKE TO KNOW

THAT LEADERSHIP IS SACRIFICE?

The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But The Truth

 

I am sad, very sad indeed

I am sad that 60 years after independence, we as a people still find it extremely very difficult to contain one another

I am sad that our Rulers always find a way to pitch us against one another and then descend on us as a predator would do to a prey

I am sad that while in saner democratic climes, water guns,  tear gas and other non-debilitating devices are used to disperse forceful and uncontrollable demonstrators, Nigeria's brand of democracy is one where live bullets are shot at peaceful protesters with the intention to kill and actually killing

I am sad that while arsonists, armed robbers, bandits and terrorists are having a field day maiming and killing Nigerians in their numbers on daily basis, the powers that be are more interested in using force to quell righteous indignation of the Nation's Youth

I am sad that Nigerians in their millions continue to pray to God on daily basis and yet the land drips with the blood of innocent people and one of the things that God HATES with a passion is the shedding of innocent blood - how then can He answer us?

I am sad that our democracy has been turned into what Fela Anikulapo Kuti of blessed memory described as "demonstration of craze"

The truth of the matter is that the turn of events in the past 24 hours especially with the shooting and the killings of Nigeria's flag bearing unarmed protesters at Lekki in Lagos has made me sad.

I am indeed very sad

Now that is *The Truth, the WHOLE Truth and nothing but the Truth*

In this life,

I have felt pain

I have endured hardship

I have been abused, embarrassed, and harassed

I have been blackmailed, humiliated and given up on

I have suffered loss of dear ones

And I have other memories, I want to forget

However

These things have made me stronger

And today I face the World with a smile

Because I know that things will always get better

And those who genuinely and sincerely love me, will always be there for me

It is obvious just as it is a popular saying that "what does not kill you makes you stronger"

Now that is *The Truth, the WHOLE Truth and nothing but the Truth*

-       some with hate your guts

-       some will use and dump you

-       some will treasure you

-       some will teach you

-       some will blackmail you

-       some will impersonate you

-       some will constantly annoy you

-       some will serve as the friendly enemies

-       some will betray you

-       some will abandon you when you need them most

-       some will fall  your hand just as the Sun is about to rise

BUT

the ones who are truly important are the ones who bring out the best in you

They are the rare and amazing people who remind you daily why it's worth it

If

1.     Your definition of success is wisdom

2.     People always confide in you. You are a keeper of secrets

3.     You see the bigger picture but may still struggle to understand your role

4.     You champion at least one cause that will further the evolution of mankind

5.     You are aware of synchronicity and the role it plays in your life and that of other peoples' lives

6.     You struggled to fit in when you were a child and may struggle until you accept your mission and let go of any resentment you have about being different and asked to make sacrifices

7.     You are spiritual and communicate with the Great Spirit in various ways and forms

then you are an OLD SOUL my friend

And the Universe is waiting to decorate and celebrate you

The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But The Truth

 

Are you passing through a rough patch right now?

Have the waters turned stormy and steam beclouds your vision?

Suddenly you have lost your zest for life?

And you wonder why all the struggles?

One calamity after another

no respite

no rest

Today I have a word for you
BE STRONG

I need to remind you that in life, sometimes when troubles come, they come in droves and sometimes when it rains, it doesn't just rain, it pours and that's why we have that epic statement - it rained cats and dogs

So be rest assured that things will surely get better

It may be stormy now, you may be in the red now, you may have lost everything BUT nothing, and I mean nothing absolutely remains the same for ever

The rain will stop some day, some time and the Sun will shine again

The gloomy cloud will shift when the heat of the Sun drops on it

It never rains forever

That dark tunnel will be forced to admit the golden ray of sunlight to lighten it

So, smile and let everyone see that today you're a lot stronger than you were yesterday

You are a Child of the Universe and no matter what the situation may be, you have a right to be here

And you also have a right to live the life you were given to live

God is about to turn some things around in your favour

Believe Him

Trust Him

Thank Him

Your breakthrough is just a season away

just the next bus stop

Don't give up

The best is yet to come

You must happen on your generation

That is the Promise of God

And it's just about time

WOW! - We Made It To October 2020

WOW! We Made It To OCTOBER 2020

 

God is always working His Purposes out even as month  succeeds to month. Just yesterday we were in September and that month witnessed losses too numerous to mention  but in His Infinite Mercy, God has brought us into the 10th month of the year 2020

Ladies and Gentlemen, October 2020 has just arrived - let's pop the Champaign and pour out into wine glasses, click glasses in a toast for the arrival of the new month with an old name.

This is the month of uncommon things

And the Good Lord shall lift us up higher than where we are at the moment

He shall cover us with His Wings that we shall know no storms

He shall give His Angels charge over us that they carry us and we do not hit our toes on a stone

He shall provide for us day in, day out that we hunger not after things to eat or thirst after things to drink

He has promised not to let us suffer unnecessarily and he shall verily keep His promise

Verily, verily I tell you that God is a promise Keeper. His Faithfulness and Mercies endureth forever.

May God bless us beyond our coasts and borders from henceforth and even for ever more
