FRIENDSHIP AWARENESS WEEK - REMINDER

REMINDER - FRIENDSHIP AWARENESS MONTH

TO ALL MY FRIENDS

I just want to let you know that I have declared the month of MAY 2013 as my own FRIENDSHIP AWARENESS MONTH.

I value your friendship a lot and that is why I want to reach you during the month of May. This is because it is quite interesting that within 6 months of being consistent on facebook, I have garnered over 2000 friends, three quarters of whom have had no word with me since they added me either through me or through themselves and seven-eights of whom I don’t know in person.

The week would entail that I reach out to you through in box messages on fb, sms to phones, skype messages or twitter and also a phone call as much as I can afford including visits and visitations.

This I do hope would add a human face to the friendship we share on facebook because the way it is now, I feel like you are forced to be my fb friend since we hardly communicate here nor do we share opinions.

So from the 1st of May, be on the watch out for me

I do hope you would receive me when I come knocking on your gates and doors.

Please keep your dogs chained so that they do not suffer serious somersault from the anointing that flows from our person.

Looking forward to being with you during my friendship awareness month

Go, Believe, Live

Are you seriously hurting, your eyes have turned all red and no one is looking?
Are you passing through hard times?
Have you looked around and there is no one to help?
Have you cried out and no one wants to see your tears?
Have you shouted to the point of having your voice crack and no one wants to hear?
You have looked down, looked east, west, north and south, looked sideways and backwards and all you see is blackness?

I bring you good tidings this Saturday morning
It is not as bad as you think it is
because God is still in the Business of taking care of His Own and you are His (not minding what the circumstance may say)
if you have life, you have every thing. It is only the living that can dream, have a vision, make plans and implement them with the hope that they would succeed --- the dead is ceased from all activities.

So if you have life my dear, YOU HAVE EVERY THING, it is only a matter of time.

Today
God will make a way where there seems to be
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for you
He will be your Guide, hold you closely in His Arms
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way!!!

That is God's report, which other report do you want to believe???

Today, I want to encourage you to "look up" when all around you has failed, "look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith" He would not fail you; but remember, HIS TIME IS NOT YOUR TIME - He is never in a haste to arrive and He arrives just when it is needed most, He never arrives late.

Go, believe, live

HAPPY WEEKEND

SATURDAY 27. 04. 13

Greetings of the new day to all my friends here on facebook. I praise the Name of the Lord for your sakes that you woke up hale and hearty this morning. All I ask you to do today is keep thanking Him for this miracle of our times.

It’s Saturday, there is really no much talk for today except to say that it is the weekend, the very last in the month of April 2013, it would never come again so whatever you want to do today, do it with all your might.

Should you want to visit Club 1759, remember to drink responsibly.

Have a great day

Today

WEDNESDAY IS IT

WEDNESDAY                                                     24. 04. 13

Greetings to all my friends

I bless the Name of the Lord for He had done it again for us in bringing us back to the land of the living, may all glory, honour, adoration, thanksgiving be His for ever Amen.

It is the middle of the week, a day to take stock of the past two days and how we have fared.

In my review this morning, I noticed that though I am buffeted on all sides right now but the Lord has been my strength and the Pillar upon which I have stood and which has not allowed me to cave in.

There comes a time when the strength of man fails and that is when God actually takes over the show, though we may not see it, but we sure can feel it if we are appropriately tuned.

Weeping may endure all through the night but certainly joy comes in the morning. Let all darkness bring with it what it may, He that has called us to His service, shall be there to see us through. Don’t wait to see it, believe it “it is more blessed to believe than to wait to see.”

Are you passing through hurt, agony pain or burden, allow yourself to be comforted by His words. IT IS ONLY YOU WHO CAN DO IT.

Have a great day today
Remember to go and renew your strength for the remainder  of the week

Today
Bless and be Blessed

TUESDAY

Greetings of the new day to all lovers of God who owe Him gratitude for their lives.

I welcome you all to this day, Tuesday the 23rd day of April 2013.

In about 7 days from now, we shall be singing the nunc dimitis for the month which would then lead us into the 5th month of the year --- hmmmmmm, how fast the year is flying.

Most small businesses in Nigeria revolve around Government and even major and big ones too, so the near absence of “Government budget” has really affected the turns of these businesses and has made it difficult to really have implantable plans these 4 months.

We use this opportunity to call on the “ogas at the top” to let the wheels of the government train gather momentum and pick speed before this year enters the last lap of the race.

It is always preferable to use our positions of trust to impact positively on the people, by so doing we would be writing our stories in their hearts and on the sands of time too.

23rd of April, hmmmm, there is a need to double up

Have a great day today if you have something in your hands that brings food to the table and if you have none, then let’s put our heads together and know how to tackle that challenge.

Today,
Bless and be Blessed

IT'S SUNDAY

SUNDAY                                                                   21. 04. 13

Greetings to all my friends and family members

It is a great day today, SUNDAY – the Lord’s Day

There is no gainsaying the fact that Sunday presents to us an opportunity to be closer to God than most other days especially for those of us who due to the pressures of living do not visit the Church except on Sundays; because except we are sick and on admission in a hospital, Sunday should be set aside to worship God in the beauty of His Holiness right there in His Holy Temple.

Originally Sunday was meant to be a day of rest but nowadays it has become a day to do all that we are not able to do within the working week. It has also become a day to have all sorts of meetings – Town Unions, Community Associations, Clubs (Fraternal and Social) and the like.

Whatever you do today, the primary aim of Sunday is to WORSHIP GOD. So see that you do not miss the assembly of the saints today and claim all the blessings that flow from such assembly.

As you do that. He would look down from Heaven and certainly say “that is my child in whom I am well pleased/”

Today
Bless and be Blessed

WHO SAYS YOU CAN NOT DO IT???

WHO SAYS YOU CAN NOT DO IT???

Hey,

I just finished watching a documentary on the 700 Club about a 12 year old boy

He was born with congenital deformity of both upper limbs so he has no arms or hands or fingers.

He was thrown away at birth and left to die because the culture of the land is that such a child is evil, but he was rescued and adopted by a caring family.

But through the love of his adopted family and the grace of God, this young boy has grown to be 12 years old and has excelled in the use of his feet and toes as hands and fingers. He writes with his toes, types on the computer keyboard with them, he plays the guitar with them and hi-fives with them, he eats with them and never a dull moment with him.
He believes that “there is form in deformity” and is living the talk “where there is a will, there shall surely be a way”

This story really brought tears to my eyes

The tears did not come from my eyes because of him (I really thank God for such a life) but because of those of us who even though physically able but yet psychologically handicapped to do things for ourselves.

Quite a number of adults have continued to blame their parents for the failures of their lives (forgetting that when a man has turned out to be 18 years of age, he becomes directly responsibly for how his life turns out to be). They have refused to help themselves because their parents did not do the needful, give them the basis for living.

Can you believe that someone who was fortunate enough to acquire a degree from a reputable Higher Institution is still searching for “job” 3 years post NYSC? All because he was brought up to believe that he cannot do anything for himself unless someone buys his brain and pays him peanuts!!!!

Is it not amazing that someone is looking for “job” and when you suggest that he goes into farming or buying and selling or network business, he replies “I don’t know how to do that” or “I cannot do it” all he thinks he knows how to do is to carry file from one office to the other and answer “Sir” to his mate!!!!

People, it is time to do a rethink
Time to make a shift from the traditional belief of “good job after school” to that of the now “no job after school”

So if there is no job, must you continue to carry your CV from one office to the other? Or find something else to do?

And who told you that you cannot do it?
My dear, the only limitation that a man has is HIS THOUGHT that is why the Bible says “as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”

You can conquer the mountains, you can ford the streams and oceans, you can be whatever you want to be, you can do whatever you want to do, IT’S ALL IN YOU and it all begins with one simple but complex action – YOUR THOUGHT –

“think you can?, think you cannot?; either way you are correct”

“there is nothing, absolutely nothing that the heart of man can conceive and which that man cannot achieve”

So instead of idling away the time (gossiping, back-biting, cheating, lying, forming, petty thievery, gbapping and the likes), instead of moaning, groaning and complaining of how bad the economy is, how the Country is not responsive to the needs of her citizens, how the Politicians have used and dumped you, how corruption has taken over the life blood of the Nation, why don’t you get busy?

All that you need to succeed in life have already been deposited in you (if you search deep enough, you would find them), your own duty is to use them effectively.

So today, believe this report “I can do ALL THINGS through Christ Who strengthens me”

and hey

IT'S SATURDAY

SATURDAY                                                  20. 04. 13

Oh la la!
It’s Saturday and the weekend is here!!!!

A day to take a well deserved rest from the struggles of the working week, to stay in bed for longer, have a steaming hot cup of soyaplus while tucked in there.

A day to work out the tensions built into the system due to the hustles and bustles of the week

A day to take a good look at the house and it’s surroundings and actually do some home care

A day to go to the market and shop for the next week. A day to take the kids out for a roller coaster.

A day to go clubbing or just have an evening out with the boys.

Saturday means a lot to me and I am sure it also means a lot to you but it is not really the day that matters, it is what we make out of the day that matters most.

Let’s make it a day that we spend quality time with those that matter to us.

Let’s give a thought to those that are not in a position to help themselves. That way, we would have some inner satisfaction that we have spent the day well

Your life is yours to live of course, so go out there and live it to the heck; but remember that when time is up, all that we can have as memories would be our contribution to the betterment of the human race.

It’s da weekend, go have a blast!!!!!!

Today

Are You Lonely?

ARE YOU LONELY?

I actually have had this on my thoughts for a while but really didn’t want to talk about it until this day.

I just finished watching a program on “SOCIAL ISOLATION” and realised that much as we like to pretend that we are surrounded by friends and family, in the main a lot of people are really lonely, very lonely.

A 12 year old boy told his story of how his father walked out on his family on his 6th birthday- (the man had driven off that morning telling the boy that he would be back in time for his birthday, his mum had prepared the birthday cake and set the table and they were all waiting for the man of the house, but he did not come back, they lost their appetite and the birthday was cancelled and the man has not shown up since that day six years ago. The boy looks for his father whenever he sees an adult man and this has contributed to making him feel very lonely even in the midst of his friends.

A number of other people are very lonely in a world that is brimming with people from diverse backgrounds because of limitations placed on them by the Society.

Quite a number of factors could contribute to the loneliness that people experience, such things like death, gossip, blackmail, being at the top, possessing so much wealth, social rejection e.t.c.

It is funny how we struggle to amass wealth and then find out when we have “arrived” that we are really very lonely because we no longer can distinguish if any actually wants our company for our sakes or for the sake of our wealth.

Stories have been told of stupendously rich men who had so many friends and acquaintances but who became outcasts when nature dealt them a hard blow and their wealth was gone because no friend was there again to touch them with a long pole.

It is only when you have encountered adversity that you would really know who your genuine friends are. And if you ask me, in your life time, you would be lucky to have just one person who genuinely loves you and would be friends with you whatever life throws at you.

If you are occupying an office and a lot of hangers on around you shout your praise, take it in but remember that when that office is gone, those persons shall shift their gaze to the next occupant of that office. Examples abound.

Fair-weather friends always fly away with the winds

Loneliness has contributed to a lot of social nuisance and crime. Depression, despondency, hypertension, raised cholesterol level, chronic Heart disease, have all been related to loneliness.

Are you lonely?
Do you suffer rejection?
Are you lacking in social relationships?

You don’t have to suffer unnecessarily

THURSDAY

THURSDAY                               18. 04. 13

My Friends,

I greet you all.

I am so happy that I woke up well this morning and my happiness streams from the fact that God did it again for me. I was just meditating this morning and wondering how life would have been were it that this life sustaining gas called oxygen was to be purchased; I just wonder how many of us could have afforded it.

But in His goodness, He made the best things of life free for us – just name them, oxygen, chlorophyll, sun, rain, roots, herbs, e.t.c.

But in our complexity we have made life more difficult for ourselves and those around us.

Love has flown out of the windows
Sincerity of purpose is now a thing of the past
Trust has failed severally that it is now difficult to trust even one’s own biological siblings
Pretence and double - facedness have taken over the airspace
Blackmails, kidnappings, frame ups, high profile murders, assassinations, have become our daily bread
Lies, cheating, deceit, idle gossip, “fastness” are now the in-thing
Outright stealing even in the Name of the Lord has become a lucrative ministry
Celebration of mediocrity and banishment of merit on so many false altars
Foundations being built on sandy soil, muddy waters and slippery landscape
Living on the face lane – “let us wine and dine today for tomorrow we die”

Life has become more complicated than God actually intended it.

Is it not time to head back to what God originally intended the earth to be – a place where man could live simply and enjoy – knowing fully well that in all things and no matter what we have accumulated or achieved, some day, just some day it would be said of us “dust to dust, earth to earth and ash to ash”

Knowing these things, what manner of men ought we to be?
What manner of men indeed??

That is why most times these days I hanker after that old time religion, when men were sincerely innocent even in their adult ages and actually believed God Whom they worshipped.

Give me that old time religion
Give me that old time religion
Old time religion is good enough for me

Father have mercy!!!!!!

Have a wonderful Thursday

Today

TUESDAY

TUESDAY 16. 04. 13

My People,

Greetings of the new day

It is good to have you here again this day.
It is not easy going to bed and waking up
Our God is really great.

It’s Tuesday
A new day whose potentialities are unlimited but limited only by our thoughts and our outlook on life.

Have you been in a situation where everyone you met told you “this is the way to go and not that way”
What did you really consider about that piece of advise?
Did you think of who was giving the advise, did his or her life reflect the way s/he was pointing you to?
Was the advise in conflict with your inner leading or outer leaning?
Whose report would you really believe?

Well, whatever your responses would be to the above questions, I have lived long enough to know that in this life, the only Person to Whom you owe responsibility of living is YOUR CREATOR – GOD.

Some persons give pieces of advise to satisfy their inner cravings for assisting or helping out; some others give to show off, and yet some others give just to keep themselves busy.

When I was 18, I told myself that this life is mine to live and I am going to live it my own way, guided only by my Creator. Sure I had issues, I had quarrels, I had threats, insinuations and innuendos, but I made up my mind and happy now that I took that decision then.

I have had the taste of life – the good, the bad and the very ugly – but I live my life; nobody has lived his life through me and I surely am not any man’s alter ego or re-incarnation.

Do you feel me this morning? Are you really living your life or you are living in the shadows or under the wings of some persons? Do you feel claustrophobic and you want to be free? By all means do just that. This life is yours to live, LIVE IT THE BEST WAY YOU CAN. But remember, there is an account to be given when it is all over, believe it or not, it shall surely come to pass. So ALLOW GOD to lead you.

Your life is God’s gift to you and the way you live it is your own gift to God
Bring Him wholesome gifts

Have a wonderful day

Today
Bless and be Blessed

FRIDAY                                                          12. 04. 13

My People,

Greetings of the new day.

It pleased God to bring us into this new day, may all glory be to His Holy Name.

There are purposes for which He did this and the chief amongst them is that we should worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, for if we fail in doing that, then we simply don’t understand it.

Such worship constitutes the tenets of true religion, for it is not in fighting and quarrelling that we worship Him in spirit and in truth, not in ramming it down the throat of the other person, not in accusations and counter-accusations, not in blackmails, innuendos, not in destroying another’s character and reputation, not in using our tongues to slander and condemn, to pass judgement of “guilty as charged” even as we have done more heinous things; not in all the negative things of the world that have left more strife than peace, torn us apart, that have highlighted the things that keep us at each other’s throat more than the things that bind us together as people of the same stock – human race.

True religion is found in such acts as He described – dealing fairly with the widow and the orphan, sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the Prisoners, raising a Ministry for the Powerless, Poorest of the Poor. That is true religion.

And that was what the old time religion was all about – communing together in the breaking of bread, looking after each other’s welfare and watching each other’s back.

Today, the man watching my back has a big dagger hidden in his clothings!!!!

Give me that old time religion, it will just be enough for me!!!!!

It is a Friday people
Thank God it’s Friday
Ladies night
Enjoy responsibly!!!

THURSDAY

HURSDAY 11. 04. 13

Good morning my friends

It’s a brand new day

Even though it is called Thursday like other Thursdays that have passed but this Thursday is special.

Before today, there had been no Thursday like it and when it is gone, there would be none like it. So what we ought to do with it?

Each and every day begins with a clean virgin slate, so that no matter what you did yesterday, today begins anew and you have the same rights, opportunities and priviledges as any other person to get the best out of the day as you want.

In some parlance, it is said that yesterday is a cancelled cheque, tomorrow is a promissory note, only today is a present, so you are asked to live in the NOW.

What does it mean to live in the now?
To live in such a way that the carryovers, leftovers and hangovers of yesterday do not spoil the fun of living today.

So whatever happened to you yesterday has been become history and no matter how much you berate yourself for that mistake, it has been made means that it has been made, so look beyond it but learn a lesson or two from it. Live the life that you were born to live. Remember that the only Person to Whom you owe an account is your God or Creator because He is the Author and Finisher of your faith, other mortals are only there to criticize and condemn, pay less heed to them!!!!!

Today is the cash that you have my friend, SPEND IT WELL.

IT’S IN YOU

How to save your phone if you get it wet

How to save your phone if you get it wet

Dropped your phone in water? Don't panic! There are steps you can take to bring your precious smartphone back.

We have all had it happen, from the toilet drop disaster to phone in the bathtub moment. It can be an upsetting experience, but if you wet your phone, all is not lost.

Act quickly and you can often save your phone from certain destruction.

It's also possible to cut your losses - a wet phone needn't be a write-off, and handsets can often be repaired, particularly if you act quickly

Just before we get started, a caveat: none of this is guaranteed to stop your phone from breaking.

There are times when things just get too wet. But if you're lucky, these tips will help.

Take the battery out immediately

So you have soaked your phone. The first thing you absolutely must do is yank the battery out of it. Water and powered on electronics don’t mix, as you would expect. Stopping any current running through the internals of your phone can save it from permanent damage.

If you can’t take the battery out, then the alternative is to shut the phone down. iPhone users take heed here, you must shut the handset down as fast as you can.

Worth noting though, is that Apple has built a security device into its phones which will show if you have got it wet -so you won’t be able to claim under warranty.

Get it wet

Next comes the hardest part: you may need to get your phone wet again - depending on what you've dunked it in. Letting a handset dry out after a drop in the likes of saltwater and Coke can cause chemicals in liquids to crystallise later down the line, causing the phone to break.

To combat this, get hold of some distilled water and give the phone a thorough wash. This way if you do manage to dry things out, the phone will stay fixed permanently. Obviously if your handset is only slightly wet, don’t risk washing it out completely. This is a fix for full submersion only, and only in fluids such as soft drinks.

Get rid of the excess

Next up, you need to make sure you have the majority of the standing water free from out of the device. Don’t start drying anything properly yet, just make sure you have as many of the droplets of water gone as possible. Make sure the internals have no visible water blobs on board.

To do this, dismantle the phone as far as you can and then shake off any excess water. Take the SIM card and the microSD card out (if you have one) and make sure no big drops of water are stuck anywhere else.

Start the drying process

This is the part that can save your phone, so it’s vital you do it right. The key here is patience, resisting the urge to switch your handset back on until you are absolutely positive that it is dry.

What you will need is some form of desiccant or drying material to put alongside your phone, as well as a sealable plastic bag. Silica gel sachets and a sandwich bag will work, or alternatively you can use uncooked rice.

Place the phone in the bag and leave it for at least 48 hours, long enough for condensation to form on the bag and the silica gel or rice to draw whatever moisture is left out of the phone.  If you can see water droplets or condensation on the screen, we’re afraid things just haven’t worked out.

Switch your phone on and if it starts up, then you are in luck. We suggest giving it a full charge and letting it drain a the battery down to zero again, just to be sure everything is back in full working order.

Call the insurer

What if your drying efforts have failed? The best you can do now is to call your insurer, provided you have one. Get all your receipts, boxes and accessories in order and prepare to ship the phone out for repairs.

Not all insurers will cover for things like water damage, but most will. It should fall under the accidental damage section of your insurance policy. You should be able to find exact details of cover in the documents the insurance company sent you.

A few weeks worth of repairs and your handset should be back with you, ready to browse the web and send text messages all over again.

Send it off for repairs

If you aren’t insured, then you will need to post the handset off for repairs. Your insurer might also suggest you do this. If you are covered, we suggest getting the phone professionally repaired after water damage, just because problems can occur months down the line if circuits have been damaged.

Repair costs will vary depending on the level of damage done. A proper soaking will often result in the whole phone being written off, although you might get away with just a screen repair, setting you back about £80. In the end, if you are the type who regularly soaks mobiles, then stumping up for proper handset insurance or a water resistant phone, like Sony’s new Xperia Z, would be money well spent.

Do We Need God to be Moral?

By LEE DYE

One of the world's leading primatologists believes his decades of research with apes answers a question that has plagued humans since the beginning of time.

Are we moral because we believe in God, or do we believe in God because we are moral?

Frans de Waal argues in his latest book that the answer is clearly the latter.

The seeds for moral behavior preceded the emergence of our species by millions of years, and the need to codify that behavior so that all would have a clear blueprint for morality led to the creation of religion, he argues.

Most religious leaders would argue it's the other way around: Our sense of what's moral came from God, and without God there would be no morality.
But this is a column about science, not religion, so it's worth asking if de Waal's own research supports his provocative conclusions, documented in the newly released book, "The Bonobo and the Atheist."

Just the title answers one question: he is an atheist, although he disparages the efforts of other atheists to convince the public to abandon all beliefs in the supernatural. Religion serves its purpose, he argues, especially through the rituals and body of beliefs that help strengthen community bonds.

De Waal is a biology professor at Emory University and director of the Living Links Center at the Yerkes Primate Center in Atlanta. He is widely regarded as one of the world's top experts on primatology, especially the sometimes violent chimpanzees and their fun-loving sexually obsessed cousins, the bonobos, sometimes called the forgotten apes because they have become so rare.

Through years of research all over the world, de Waal has reached these basic conclusions: Chimps and bonobos and other primates clearly show empathy with others who are suffering. They have a sense of fairness, they take care of those in need, and they will share what they have with others who are less fortunate.

Those and other human-like characteristics, that have been clearly documented by other researchers as well, at least show they have some grasp of morality. It doesn't mean they are moral -- especially chimps, which can be very violent -- but they have the "basic building blocks" for morality, de Waal argues.

Chimps, he says, "are ready to kill their rivals. They sometimes kill humans, or bite off their face." So he says he is "reluctant to call a chimpanzee a 'moral being.'"

"There is little evidence that other animals judge the appropriateness of actions that do not directly affect themselves," he writes. Yet, "In their behavior, we recognize the same values we pursue ourselves.

"I take these hints of community concern as a sign that the building blocks of morality are older than humanity, and we don't need God to explain how we got to where we are today," he writes.

Our sense of morality, he continues, comes from within, not from above. Many activities he has witnessed show that apes feel guilt and shame, which also suggest a sense of morality. Why should anyone feel guilty if they don't know the difference between right and wrong?

For example, Lody, a bonobo in the Milwaukee County Zoo, bit the hand -- apparently accidentally -- of a veterinarian who was feeding him vitamin pills.
"Hearing a crunching sound, Lody looked up, seemingly surprised, and released the hand minus a digit," de Waals writes.

Days later the vet revisited the zoo and held up her bandaged left hand. Lody looked at the hand and retreated to a distant corner of the enclosure where he held his head down and wrapped his arms around himself, signs of both grief and guilt.

And here's the amazing part. About 15 years later the vet returned to the zoo and was standing among a crowd of visitors when Lody recognized her and rushed over. He tried to see her left hand, which was hidden behind the railing. The vet lifted up her incomplete hand and Lody looked at it, then at the vet's face, then back at the hand again.

Was he showing shame and grief? Or was it fear of a possible reprisal? The ape at least realized he had done something wrong, de Waal argues, showing the seeds of moral behavior.

There are scores of other examples showing deep grief over a dying colleague and compassion for a mother ape that has lost her young and care for young apes that have lost their parents. All those things are signs of what we would call unmistakable morality, if the subjects were humans, not apes.

"Some say animals are what they are, whereas our own species follows ideals, but this is easily proven wrong," de Waals writes. "Not because we don't have ideals, but because other species have them too."

When an ape expresses grief or guilt or compassion he is living out the blueprint for survival in a culture that is becoming more complex, and possibly more dangerous. He is acting from within, not because he believes in God who defined right and wrong. De Waal puts it this way:

"The moral law is not imposed from above or derived from well-reasoned principles; rather it arises from ingrained values that have been there since the beginning of time."

He cites at least one instance when those "ingrained values" led to action among bonobos that seems like a divine solution to a nasty problem that confronts human society around the world.

Bonobos, according to his research, know how to avoid war.

Over and over he has seen neighboring bonobo colonies gather near a common border as the males prepare to do battle. Ape warfare can indeed be violent. But when the bonobos are ready to fight, the females often charge across the boundary and start making out with both genders on the other side.

Pretty soon, the war has degenerated to what we humans would call an orgy, after which both sides are seen grooming each other and watching their children play.

So an orgy is moral? Maybe these guys understand it really is better to make love, not war.

HE CARES FOR YOU

TUESDAY                                                                             09. 04. 13

My Friends

Greetings of the new day

We thank God for His faithfulness to us, for His love and kind mercies, for His grace which He bestows on us who do not really deserve it.

It is of His own pleasure and good will that we are alive to see this brand new day and the opportunity to make another go at life and the process of living.

What heavy load are you bearing?
What are you passing through right now?
You think you are alone without a helper?
You think no one cares?
You think no one bothers?

You are wrong brother!!

He cares!!!!!

God surely cares. He loves us much more than we love ourselves.

For your sake and mine, He came down from heaven to live as man, to show us that it is very possible to live in the world and not be of the world

For your sake and mine, He allowed Himself to be crucified like a common criminal just to ensure that though we sin knowingly and unknowingly, we get forgiven when we confess our sins

For your sake and mine, He matched on the head of the serpent giving us power over things – animate and inanimate.

Now He sits on the right hand of the Heavenly Throne and whenever the accuser comes to accuse us before God, He becomes our instant Advocate saying “Father, remember for this man’s sake I endured shame”

He loves you brother and know this for real, if no one else cares for you, if no one else bothers about you. Christ does and He continues to say “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Today, harden not your heart

May His peace which the world can never give, be your portion today – Amen

Bless and be Blessed

MONDAY IS HERE

My Friends

I really thank God on your behalf that we went to bed last night and despite all the threats of the enemy to our lives while asleep, God in His infinite mercy brought us back to the land of the living

There is only but one reason why He did that – that we may proclaim his merciful kindness and continually glorify His Name.

While you are still alive and breathing, you are a useful vessel in God’s Hands,

ALLOW HIM

It is Monday!!!!

If you have a job you are doing, no Monday blues please
Just go about your work with a sense of commitment, determined to achieve

HAPPY SUNDAY

SUNDAY                                                       07. 04. 13

Greetings of the new day.

It is Sunday, the Lord’s day
The day that He rested after creation and He decreed that it should be kept holy.
Holiness is the word

How do you keep a day holy?
In the worship of God in His Holy Sanctuary
In the service to persons not in a position to reciprocate
In the giving of self
In thoughts beyond self
In actions genuine and sincere
In words that edify

Holiness is life, it is not a costume

Today, as much as you can ------ BE HOLY even as Your Father who is in Heaven is Holy

Bless and be blessed

Sugary Drinks Linked to Over 180,000 Deaths Worldwide

Sugary Drinks Linked to Over 180,000 Deaths Worldwide

By Dr. Mekola

Don’t Fall for the Latest 'Designer Water' Fad...

As a general rule, I advise using water as your primary form of beverage. Many simply do not drink enough water these days. But don’t be fooled by slick marketing.

There are a number of “designer water” products available, and none of them can really beat plain, pure water.

For example, on April 1, Coca-Cola released its latest enhanced water product called “Fruitwater,” described as “a great tasting, naturally flavored zero calorie sparking water beverage.”7 Despite its name, the product does NOT contain any juice.

Rather it’s sweetened with sucralose and “natural fruit flavors.” Sucralose (Splenda) is an artificial sweetener that, like aspartame, is associated with a host of side effects, including:
• Gastrointestinal problems
• Seizures, dizziness and migraines
• Blurred vision
• Allergic reactions
• Blood sugar increases and weight gain

Artificially Sweetened Water is a Recipe for Poor Health

Different artificial sweeteners have been found to wreak havoc in a number of different ways. Aspartame, for example, has a long list of studies indicating its harmful effects, ranging from brain damage to pre-term delivery.

Sucralose has been found to be particularly damaging to your intestines. A study8 published in 2008 found that sucralose:
• Reduces the amount of good bacteria in your intestines by 50 percent
• Increases the pH level in your intestines, and
• Affects a glycoprotein in your body that can have crucial health effects, particularly if you're on certain medications like chemotherapy, or treatments for AIDS and certain heart conditions

In response to this study, James Turner, chairman of the national consumer education group Citizens for Health issued the following statement:9

"The report makes it clear that the artificial sweetener Splenda and its key component sucralose pose a threat to the people who consume the product. Hundreds of consumers have complained to us about side effects from using Splenda and this study ... confirms that the chemicals in the little yellow package should carry a big red warning label."

That was nearly five years ago, yet many are still in the dark about these health risks.

Having healthy gut flora is absolutely vital for your optimal health, so clearly, any product that can destroy up to half of your healthy intestinal bacteria can pose a critical risk to your health!

Many are already deficient in healthy bacteria due to consuming too many highly processed foods.

This is why I recommend eating fermented vegetables every day, or at the very least taking a high quality probiotic.

Believe me, if you continuously destroy up to 50 percent of your gut flora by regularly consuming sucralose, then poor health is virtually guaranteed.

So please, do not make “Fruitwater” a staple drink thinking you’re doing something beneficial for your health...

Remember, pure water IS a zero calorie drink.

You cannot find a beverage that contains fewer calories.

If you think about it, why on earth would you choose artificially sweetened water over regular mineral water? If you want some flavor, just squeeze a little bit of fresh lemon or lime into mineral water as they have virtually no fructose in them.

Unfortunately, most public health agencies and nutritionists in the United States still recommend these toxic artificial sweeteners as acceptable and even preferred alternatives to sugar, which is at best confusing and at worst seriously damaging the health of those who listen to this well-intentioned but foolish advice.

Contrary to popular belief, research has shown that artificial sweeteners can stimulate your appetite, increase carbohydrate cravings, and stimulate fat storage and weight gain.

In fact, diet sodas may actually double your risk of obesity. So much for being an ally in the battle against the bulge...

The Case Against ALL Bottled Waters...

While we’re on the subject of commercially available water products, let me remind you that bottled water in general is a bad idea.

Not only are you paying about 1,900 percent more for the same or similar water you get straight from your tap, water stored in plastic bottles have other health risks as well.

The plastic often used to make water bottles contains a variety of health-harming chemicals that can easily leach out and contaminate the water, such as:
• Cancer-causing PFOAs
• PBDEs (flame retardant chemicals), which have been linked to reproductive problems and altered thyroid levels
• The reproductive toxins, phthalates
• BPA, which disrupts the endocrine system by mimicking the female hormone estrogen

If you leave your water bottle in a hot car, or reuse it, your exposure is magnified because heat and stress increase the amount of chemicals that leach out of the plastic.

So the container your water comes in needs to receive just as much attention as the water itself, and plastic is simply not a wise choice from a health perspective … not to mention the extreme amounts of toxic waste produced!

What’s the Healthiest Beverage You Can Drink?

Sweetened beverages, whether it’s sweetened with sugar, HFCS, naturally-occurring fructose, or artificial sweeteners, are among the worst culprits in the fight against obesity and related health problems, including diabetes, heart- and liver disease, just to name a few.

Remember that sweetened beverages also include flavored milk products, bottled teas, and “enhanced” water products.

Ditching ALL of these types of beverages can go a long way toward reducing your risk for chronic health problems and weight gain. So what should you drink?

Your best most cost effective choice is to drink filtered tap water.

The caveat though is to make sure you filter your tap water.

I've written a large number of articles on the hazards of tap water, from fluoride to dangerous chemicals and drugs, to toxic disinfection byproducts and heavy metals, so having a good filtration system in place is more of a necessity than a luxury in most areas. Remember, nothing beats pure water when it comes to serving your body’s needs.

If you really feel the urge for a carbonated beverage, try sparkling mineral water with a squirt of lime or lemon juice.
Another option to consider is to bottle your own water from a gravity-fed spring.

There's a great website called FindaSpring.com where you can find natural springs in your area.

This is a great way to get back to nature and teach your children about health and the sources of clean water.

The best part is that most of these spring water sources are free!

Just remember to bring either clear polyethylene or glass containers to collect the water so no unsafe chemicals can contaminate your water on the way home. If you choose to use glass bottles, be sure to wrap them in towels to keep them from breaking in the car.
