Choose Your Struggle

*Nobody ever gets what they DESERVE, people get what they WORK FOR*

So if you really desire to have a *LION SHARE* of life's goodies, then you need just one thing

a *LION'S HEART*

And to acquire a Lion's heart, you must CHOOSE your struggles, don't let your struggles choose you.

Mother Nature will always throws spanners into your life's moving wheels so as to distract you from going after your goals, you must choose to *FOCUS with CLARITY* on that which you earnestly desire.

*ELIMINATE* the great noise of sounding cymbals of empty vessels

*STOP the BLAME GAME* - stop blaming your past for your present realities, yes sure your mistakes of the past must have made a great contribution to how your today is BUT there is no road to the past, all roads lead forwards to the future.

Stop blaming your parents for how your life has turned out, don't forget that as soon as a man reaches the age of reasoning, he becomes directly responsible for what becomes of his life.

Stop blaming your poor background for your continued romance with poverty - it is not your fault that you were born into a poor family, Mother Nature put you there so that you can escape out of poverty by dint of your own hard work, so it is your fault if you are still romancing with poverty even when you ought to have bid it an eternal farewell.

Stop blaming others for your state of unhappiness, happiness is a choice and you can choose it; if you refuse to be happy, nobody can help you.

Today, don't just wish it, work it and free yourself from all entanglements of struggles that do not pay you any dividend.

The 1st Of January 2020 - Happy New Month

It is the 1st of January 2020, the beginning of a brand new month, the FIRST month of the year of our Lord, Two thousand and Twenty (2020).

It is another God-given opportunity for us to make a go at life and living; to erase the bad memories of the past year and concentrate on moving forward.

Interesting things would happen in this month but the most interesting is that you shall witness it all and be alive to tell the tale.

In this month, God shall re-write your history, and you shall have every reason to rejoice.

In the place of stones in the mouth, He would give you meat

In the place of rock, He would give you bread

In the place of bitterness, He would give you honey

In the place of barrenness, He would give you children

In the place of mourning, He would give you joy

In the place of lack, He would supply all your NEEDS

In the place of joblessness, He would lift your head up

When your detractors confound you, He would raise a Banner of protection

When they come against you in seven ways, He shall scatter them in a hundred ways

He would provide the Strong Tower into which you shall run in and be Almightily protected

He shall not allow you to be put to shame

He would uphold you by the Power of His Mighty Right Hand

And any tongue that shall rise up in judgement against you, He shall deal with

He is God, He is your Father, He loves you so much, He would bear you in His Palms and nobody can prize you away from Him.

That is my prayer for you this 1st day of this new month of January 2020, by the 31st of January, we shall take stock.

It is also my prayer for myself

As 2019 Ends

On January 1st, 2019, we all welcomed 2019 with open and waiting arms not knowing what it had brought with it but with the hope that all will be well for us.

Today is the 31st of December 2019 - the last day of 2019 because by 12 midnight today, we shall bid eternal farewell to 2019 and welcome the magical year 2020.

2019 has run its full course with a potpourri of events and activities

Some of us lost our loved ones to the cold hands of death - (my sympathies and condolences please)

Some of us lost out in businesses (do take heart please)

Some of us failed to achieve our aims and aspirations in the outgoing year (try again please)

But

Some of us got married after many years of Bachelorhood and Spinsterhood (congratulations)

Some of us were blessed with new births in their households ( congratulations)

Some of us experienced all round promotion (congratulations too)

Some of us excelled in our academics, politics, businesses e.t.c. (congratulations all)

However, the greatest miracle this passing year brought to us is that God in His infinite Mercy and Grace sustained the breath of life in us all through the months no matter how dangerous the weather and other living conditions were.

The miracle of being alive can never be equaled anywhere

May all Power, Honour, Dominion, Adoration, and Thanksgiving be returned unto Him Who sits in the Heavenly Realms and His Eyes rove all around the World beholding the affairs of men- even the Most Wise God - Amen

-       take a stroll along the beach

-       breathe in fresh air

-       drop all negativities

-       listen to the birds as they hum their songs

and later in the day

-       put a smile on someone's face

It's a beautiful world we are living in

things may be rough

but you're not alone

It's My Birth Day Today

Hello friends,

Just want to let you know that today is Wednesday the 3rd day of July 2019 and exactly on this same date so many years ago, Ezinne Lois Adaezi Oguzie (nee Uzowuru) of blessed memory entered the Labour Room at Obioma Maternity Owerri where with the help of Matron Elfreda Aguta (nee Ukonu)  she gave birth to her first Child and Son whom she called Ikechukwu.

My Father was so pleased with the arrival of the new baby that he decided to call him Henry because according to him, he was smitten by the achievements of Henry the Navigator and wished that his first son would be such an achiever too.

He also called him Obinna because according to him he had earnestly desired and prayed for a male child as his first issue and God answered his prayers.

My Parents took special care of me and even with the arrival of the other children after me, they still believed that I was special and held nothing back.

I also earnestly believe that though they have gone to join the Saints Triumphant waiting for the resurrection morning but the little time I had with them, I tried to live up to their billings.

I am eternally grateful to them for the special care and love they bestowed on me, without them, I just wonder where I would have been but more of my gratitude goes to God the Father of light and from Whom all good and perfect gifts come for His Guidance and Protection all these long years.

With my birthday today,  I have completed a full cycle.

The next cycle is about to kick off from the 4th of July 2019

Though we are retired but certainly not tired, we may be bogged down with debts but we are not dead yet, we may be on the floor and clawing but we still have warm blood flowing in our veins and as the Scriptures make me to understand, I try to be "anxious for nothing" because I know that He Who owns me, owns my future too and  no matter how bleak it is today, it shall come to pass and that, sooner than we may ever care to know.

To all you who have allowed me to share your moments here online and in real life, I salute you and thank you for the priviledge.

To those who have reached out and touched me in one special way or the other, this is my appreciative note.

To my ever loving, devoted and doting wife (what more can a man ask for in a wifey??) I doff my cap. In my next world, I would still be married to you.

And the young man who is touching the skies with his height and whom I now have to look up in order to talk to, to Jerry - the Second my first son, thank you for being part of my life.

Another journey has commenced, I ask but one thing, that God accompanies me more.

The Real But Unseen Seven Wonders Of The World

W. B. Yeats once said, “The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” 

When we think of the wonders of the world, we imagine magnificent, enormous buildings and monuments, but this wonderful little tale made me rethink it all.
