  1. DISTINGUISH HARD WORKING AND WORKING HARD.

    1. Hard workers experience their work as a necessary and at times fulfilling obligation.
Working Hard- see their work as a place of safety from the unpredictableness of life and a distance from unwanted feelings and/or commitments.

    2. Hard workers know when to set limits on their work in order to be fully available and present for their family, friends and to be able to participate in play.
Working hard- allow their work to take top billing over all other areas of their life. Commitments to family, friends and their children are often made and then broken to meet work demands.

    3. Working Hard- get an adrenalin rush from meeting impossible demands.
    Hard workers- do not.

    4. Hard workers can turn off their work appetite.
Working Hard- can not Not Work. They remain preoccupied with work no matter where they are—playing golf with friends, attending their children’s sporting events.

    5. Hard work is achieving things without practical thinking. Working Hard- is achieving thing with practical thinking.

  2. hard work demands your physical strength but working hard requires your mental acumen.
hard work can be done by just any one while working hard requires a basic skill.
hard work maintains/retains the statusquo while working hard improves the system.
most times, hardwork can be quantified, but working hard is only noticed by the systematic changes it brings about.
