Another Weekend Is Here

Hello my Friends

It is my pleasure to welcome you to this bright and brand new day and which also is a Saturday, the weekend proper.

Saturday provides a good platform to manage Friday night hangover - you know, the excess of hanging out on Friday night for both the Ladies night and in some places - booze free after some bottles.

Saturday also provides a better platform for rooming in (for married couples only) - you know, the leg crossings and hand claspings  and glued elements (don't say I told you o o).

It's also a day to top up all that have gone low and below

So welcome to this Saturday and whatever you are doing right now or intend to do later on, just ensure you are catching and having fun.

Enjoy

The "IBA" Of Success

The day before today - that is yesterday - I wrote on my DPA route to success - http://goo.gl/orDNRLwhere D was for Desire, P for Plan and A for Action and I had stated that no success was ever achieved in any field of endeavour without taking those three into cognizance.

Today, I bring you another set of Acronyms designed to quicken your feet steps and heighten your tension to become successful.

In Igbo language "iba" connotes fever which most of the time is attributed to 'Malaria'; however the IBA I am about to explain to you has something to do with fever but this time, not the fever of malaria but the "success fever"

Anyone who desires success cannot be cold about, s/he must catch the "success fever" to achieve his or her desires and that success fever is fueled by these three in one acronym #IBA

I - Imagine

What would life have been, if God had not given to man the power of imagination?

Was it not imagination that led Charles Darwin to conduct his experiments and propound his theories of evolution?
He also led us to believe that in this life, only the fittest of the fittest shall survive!!!

Was it not imagination that led Isaac Newton to also discover the Newton's laws of motion?

Was it not imagination that led the Wright Brothers to invent the Aeroplane?

Was it not imagination that led Alexander Graham Bell to invent the telephone?

Was it not imagination that led Thomas Edison to discover the electric bulb?

Was it not imagination that led Mark Zuckerberg to discover facebook?

One could go on and on to point out the inventions and discoveries of this world that were made by men and women out of curiosity and imagination.

It is popularly said that "imagination takes one out of his ethereal realms"

For one to be successful, s/he has to imagine what success means in his or her field of endeavour

B - Believe

There is nothing anyone can achieve in life if he does not have the belief in himself that he can achieve that.

Thus a successful man is one who has a good degree of self esteem (not being egoistic) but having the confidence in himself t that he can do whatever he sets his eyes on doing using whatever talent and skills God already deposited in him.

In those years of Christ's earthly ministry, He commended a lot of people who believed that He could heal them or their daughters or their servants even when He was yet to do so. And in so doing, He laid a good example of the benefits of believing even before receiving.

Believing in oneself is equivalent to having faith in oneself and that can only stream forth from having faith and belief in the One True God.

When a man imagines eldorado and believes that he can build it, then he is off on a good ride which no matter how bumpy it may be, MUST be completed.

A - Achieve
When God landed you safely into this earth, He gave you one commission - "Go ye and achieve"

All that you are in this world to do is to "achieve"

If you are not achieving, then you are not fulfilling God's mandate to you.

Remember there will be an answer to be given for the time spent on earth.

It is this factor in the success scheme that most people fail to apply.

A lot of people are filled with imagination of what they can do or be if given the opportunity, however when it comes to actually becoming that which they had imagined that they could be, their spirits fail them and they chicken out.

The Cemetery is filled with people who had bright ideas of how the world would be better but never made those ideas see the light of the day. They died with their dreams, their imaginations and such dreams that were not shared definitely died with the dreamer.

And yet all it takes to achieve whatever we have imagined or believed in is to DO.

#ACTION is all it takes to achieve.

Can you see the picture I have painted?
Do you see your shadow there?

Today, make a change. Apply my "IBA" to your life and see if it will not CHANGE

Don't forget to let me know when things have turned for the better.

A wish for a beautiful day to you and I'll see you on the morrow

The DPA

The day before today, I had written on "No More Excuses" http://bit.ly/1Ko19F0 and in the write up, I had stated that  " And for me, doing actually starts with what I call the DPA. If you don't know what the acronym DPA stands for, then don't forget to keep in touch with us morrow when we shall write on the DPA".

So, today, in keeping with that my promise of yesterday, I am writing on DPA

Nobody who is somebody today did it without taking DPA into cognizance.

And no matter what we might become again tomorrow, DPA must be involved in actualizing that.

So, what is DPA?

DPA is the acronym I coined for what I consider to be the 3 most important factors in the achievement of success in whatever field of endeavour.

And they are:

D- Desire

In the race of life, desire plays a great role in what we become, what we achieve, who we relate with and even who we eventually settle down with.

Desire is in the realm of imagination and it is popularly said that there is nothing (absolutely nothing) that the heart of a man can imagine and desire and which that man cannot achieve.

History is replete with men and women who imagined and desired to be famous in one way or the other and who eventually got what they wanted.

Even our Lord Jesus Christ intently and earnestly desired to fulfill His Father's Will and that was why He took the cup of death for the sake of mankind.

On a personal note, I desired to be a Medical Doctor and by God's special grace, I am one.

I am sure quite a number of you also desired to be one thing or the other and eventually became that.

That we become what we earnestly desire to be is a vindication of that statement that a man can be whatever he so desires to be.

P - Plan

This is the second factor in my DPA route and of course stands for Plan.

Whatever it is that a man desires, he must have a plan to bring it to reality.

A Plan is therefore very essential in achieving our desires.

Even though God had the MIGHT and POWER to decree the earth and heavens and all that there are in them into existence in a twinkle of an eye, but He had a plan for each of the things He created. And so for each day, He created one thing, sat back, took a good look at what He created and declared it good.

So, as men created in God's own Image, we ought to follow His example.

There is nothing like an overnight success; any man who has achieved some measure of success in his field of endeavour, has been at it for a while and surely must have laid out a road map (plan) towards achieving his mission.

Plans come in various forms and ways - short term, middle term, long term.

Plan out your desire and see it come true

A - Action

The third and last factor in my DPA route to success

Action does it.

No matter how beautiful our plans are, if we fail to act on them, nothing shall come out of them.

Action determines all and makes all the difference between success and failure.

It is action that separates the "be" from the "would have"

So, whatever it is that a man wants to achieve, then a plan that is actually acted upon, would definitely lead to success.

What are you willing to achieve today?

Apply my DPA to it and tell me about it when you succeed

Cheers to a good day

Psalm 91

Whoso dwelleth under the defence of the Most High; shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty

I will say unto the Lord, Thou art my Hope and my Strong Hold, my God, in Him will I trust

For He shall deliver thee from the snare of the hunter: and from the noisome pestilence

He shall defend thee under His Wings, and thou shalt be safe under His  Feathers: His Faithfulness and truth shall be thy shield and buckler

Thou shalt not be afraid for any terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day

For the pestilence that walketh in darkness: nor for the sickness that destroyeth in the noon day

A thousand shall fall beside thee; and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shalt not come nigh thee

Yea with thine eyes, shalt thou behold and see the reward of the ungodly.

For Thou Lord art my Hope;  Thou hast set Thine House of Defence very high

There shall no evil happen unto thee; neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

For He shall give His Angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways

They shall bear thee in their hands: that thou hurt not thy foot against a stone

Thou shalt go upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and dragon shalt thou tread under thy feet

Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him up, because he hath known My Name.

He shall call upon Me and I will hear him; yea, I am with him in trouble; I will deliver him and bring him to honour

With long life will I satisfy him; and shew him My Salvation

No More Excuses

If you're like me, I'm sure you agree it's high time the average Nigerian took some responsibility and attempted to regain control of their financial destiny.

But here's the thing...

Most Nigerians believe that they can vote for some politician, or speak to their union rep, or complain to their boss, and their problems will magically disappear.

Most people are too busy begging for handouts to notice the solution right under their noses.

And that's why I'm writing today.

You see, today, I'd like to remind you that you've played this game of number far too long and that now is the time to take back control of your life, and claim control of your financial destiny.

If you're like most people, I know there are probably some circumstances outside your control that are holding you back from getting everything you deserve in life.

Maybe your parents, or your teachers, or your grandparents never taught you about money.

Maybe you've never been paid what you're worth.

Maybe, like most of us, you lost a lot of money in 2008.

None of these things is your fault. But if you're going to get your life back on track, it is your responsibility to do something about it.

That's where this write up comes in...

Today, I want to ask you to drop all excuses. Look all those lies and excuses and reasons and alibis you have told yourself over the years, in the face and tell them to GO TO HELL.

Today, you need to claim back that which is yours and the only way to do it is BY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Doing something about anything starts with "doing"

If you want a new thing, then you MUST do a new thing to get it; you cannot get a new thing by doing the old thing that had not helped you in any way at all.

And for me, doing actually starts with what I call the DPA
If you don't know what the acronym DPA stands for, then don't forget to keep in touch with us morrow when we shall write on the DPA.

But for today, get up from your stupor and claim your life back

A wish for a wonderful day to you

Which Trap Are You In?

In years gone by, the mantra was "go to school, acquire a certificate with a good result, come out and get a job", it worked then because the population was small, the percentage of the educated to the uneducated was small and there was not much competition going on.

But in the now, the population has more than quadrupled, millions of people are educated and throwing their certificates all over the place, there is so much competition going on now that to get a job has become as difficult as the biblical saying of the head of a camel passing through the eye of a needle; and so that mantra of "go to school ..." has become a mirage.

However whether in the "then" economy or in the "now" economy, statistics show that 99% of people fall into two common wealth traps

No. 1: The trap of the “regular employee”

Are you a Medical Doctor, Lawyer, Architect, Surveyor, Pharmacist, Nurse, Microbiologist, Medical Lab Scientist or other professional? How about a salaried employee?

If so, you’re in a trap.

And you’ll never get out unless you listen right now.

Here’s what I mean…

At the end of the day, you’re charging for your time.
And if you want to make more money, there are only two ways to do it:

a.       Charge more per hour (though not too much more, or you’ll risk sounding ridiculous or, worse, being replaced).

b.      Work more hours (though there are only so many hours you can work and still have a life).

As you improve your skills—or stay long enough with one company—you may earn more for every hour you work. Eventually, you might even earn a couple hundred thousand dollars per year.

To earn that money, you’ll have to work very hard. Often, that means 10- to 14-hour workdays.

If you’re a salaried employee or you have a job that pays by the hour, you know exactly what I mean.

You may be earning good money, but it’s hard to enjoy your success because you’re always up to your eyeballs in work.

Moreover you cannot afford to offend your boss or even your Supervisor because then your job might be on the line.

Retiring is an option. But remember, when you retire, you lose your active income. That’s not good. Because if you keep to the lifestyle you have already built up over the years and no active income, you would become broke before anyone could say Jack Robinson and then mr. death would be on the door knocking.

Not sure if you’re falling into this wealth trap?

Consider asking yourself these questions:

i.        Are you 100% confident you can work yourself up the corporate ladder (considering not just your ability, but also your environment)?
ii.       Are you comfortable with the time it’ll take to get to the top?
iii.      If you don’t make it to the top, are you comfortable having less money by the time you retire?
iv.      Can you trust the company you work for to guarantee you a lifetime of income?
v.       Once you’re ready to retire and give up your job, will you be comfortable cutting off that sole source of income?

If you answered “no” to any of these questions, you must start setting up other cash flows.

Once you do, all these worries will go away.

Your income isn’t dependent on the number of hours you work.
You can make money when you’re on vacation… when you’re sick… when you’re sleeping.

You’ll never have to worry about your income again.

No. 2: The “not-enough-cash” trap

And then there are those who would never start anything because they are not earning what they ought to be earning, they always come up with the excuse of "not enough cash"

It is, of course, much easier to end up with a multimillion-dollar income if you start in your early 20s.

But even if you’re older and have fewer than 10 years to generate the income you want, you can do it.

But you must get started now.

Let’s talk about this—where you could be starting.

I’m going to assume you’re not yet wealthy—or not as wealthy as you’d like to be.

Perhaps the financial crisis in 2008-2009 devastated you.

Perhaps you’re starting from scratch.

Or you had to delay your retirement plans 10-15 years…

In each of these scenarios, the single best answer I can give you is: Generate extra streams of income.

The problem most people have isn’t that they’re getting only 0.5% on bank accounts, 3.5% on bonds, and 8% from stocks.

The problem is they don’t have enough cash!

Stop and ask yourself if that’s true for you.

What will change your financial life in a dramatic way? Getting an extra few percentage points on your current investments? Or bringing in thousands of extra dollars in cash every month?

Very few people build lasting wealth through stock investing and options alone. Yet the vast majority of financial advisers you’ll speak with only offer these “solutions.”

Instead, you need to increase your income through different avenues and opportunities.

And then put that money into ventures and operations that’ll gush cold, hard cash.

The most important thing is getting started.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/proxy/AVvXsEjX9Ugcxvr6wsRT8j3kcxtNxP872TDxlIARlT76yAikMpyiguMOBXrBx2NCYa9jxu61gu4UZd_ONOuVMdVj_ehISE6_z3chHvtQfJCOoIia32b5VEa8WRJlrb5GUuzgb_aLoyHwVvaifVoAibncV_w1WpZHBPXaKfAjje-_Zw=s0-d-e1-ft The train is leaving

This may be the most important thing to understand about generating extra income: Getting started is the only difficult part. The rest is a relative piece of cake.

Inertia is always the biggest challenge.

You know you need to take some action, but you aren’t quite sure what to do.

And even if you do know what to do, there are so many distractions and responsibilities keeping you from the first step.

You will see—I promise you—the first step is by far the hardest. After that, it’s like walking. One step after another.

Before you know it, the cash will flow almost automatically. And it’ll increase with each passing month.

If you can get started, I have full confidence that by this time next year, you’ll have at least one—and maybe two or three—extra streams of cash coming into your life every month.

This year is going to pass by quickly—whether you’re on the train or standing at the station.

Why not hop on now?
