ABOUT NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
We are at the end of yet another year, which has been particularly challenging for many of us. As usual we have learned many ways of how not to do things and naturally intend to do better next year. As we know, when we do the things we have always done we will get what we always got. Simple, isn't it?
So, let's start the New Year by doing things differently.
Learn about universal laws
Get in touch with the authentic you
Clear your stuff and learn to live in the now
Create a healthy working and living environment
Learn about the 80/20 rule
Overcome learned helplessness
Build self esteem
Learn to solve problems creatively
All the above adds up to taking control of your life, being happier and more successful.Oh, oh, you have heard it all before. I know..., so why should this one be different?
Here is the answer in a nutshell: when setting New Year solutions most of us put the cart in front of the horse.
This looks a little bit like this: You intend to lose weight, work less, become healthier, do more exercises, have a better relationship, better career, spend more time with your family and so on.
As you can see the first table for doing things differently is more general and contains nothing as specific as the one above. For good reason. When you decide to improve your career by looking for a new job, improving your marriage listening more to your spouse, or work on losing weight, you are addressing the symptoms and not the root course of your relationship issues, career problems, health concerns ,or whatever it may be.
I repeat: the problems, delays and other frustrations, irritations, fears etc you are experiencing in your life are the result and not the cause of your issues. Because the issues you face derive from a misconception of your reality, a lack of understanding of how universal laws function, and unresolved early life trauma which is to a large extend the consequence of your unwitting ignorance.
The results you are getting are produced by your conditioning from well meaning parents and other authority figures. Your conditioning has helped shape your views of the world and enabled you to basically function as a human being.
Alas, the nature of existence is constant evolution and movement and this means the you and I are evolving in every moment of our existence. It also means that things have a habit of not working any more after a while, because we are beginning to outgrow them as part of the ever ongoing evolutionary process of life and the universe.
However, since we are trained to fear the unknown of change and have learned to evaluate our lives in terms of what feels safe and familiar to us, we are not only missing out on many opportunities to move on beyond our comfort zones and grow, we are also going against the fundamental universal laws of our existence.
Of course, all of this happens in all innocence, and there is no right or wrong here, nor any blame. Everyone will always do their best at their present level of development.
When we have issues in our life and in society in general this is simply a final wake up call that says "Come on wake up, and move forward, deal with your stuff in new and better ways"
In order to move forward we need to first of all expand our mental horizons, or in other words, increase our cognitive awareness. The more you can see of yourself and understand yourself the easier it will be for you to notice patterns that may impede your progress. These patterns are thought patterns and behaviour patterns.
Vigilance is a keyword here. Instead of chasing the end results outside of you, go inside and start hunting down those little and bigger habits you have, many of them probably for a life time, which keep you stuck and stop you from moving forward. Learn to become mentally nimble. There are many techniques to help you develop mental flexibility and openness.
The suggestions at the beginning of this article are prompts that will help you where to look for personal improvement and self empowerment. When you start working through these points, you will also automatically address more specific issues and concerns in your life, without getting hung up on minutia. If you see only the smaller part of the picture you may not grasp the patterns that are holding you in your comfort zone.
Build your foundations on solid ground. Just laying one brick won't do the trick, the house will not get built, meaning change, profound live change cannot take place. You will be forever figuring out how to build the entire house on that one brick.
On the other hand, if your foundation is solid improvements will follow. What is more, if everyone works on their bit the effect compounds and spreads into the world in general, raising the collective consciousness.

A NEW YEAR MESSAGE
Beloved,
2008 had passed – just within a twinkle of an eye. Only the other day we were shaking and hugging each other with smiles and laughter and wishing each other “happy new year” as 2008 rolled in but that one day begat another day and before one could say Jack Robinson, 366 days had gone, the year went down in history and another year is up.
2008 was surely a tumultuous year for us as individuals and collectively too. In 2008, I was elected the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, FCT Abuja and in it too I lost my father to the cold hands of death. I am sure you may have experienced one joyful moment or the other, however for as long as there is life, so long shall God continue to provide for us.
I sincerely want to thank you for all the things you did for me in the year that just passed. For the active support you gave me while issues lasted.
2009 has rolled in. It is a year that is bringing with it great hopes. Hopes of changes in our systems, hopes of better lives, hopes of new friendships, hopes of financial increase bordering on abundance!!!! Whatever it shall be for you, make it your best year yet.
And you can do it, you have got the capacity to change your thoughts from which all blessings flow.
Make it a year to be remembered, .the year to break down every barrier and mountain that has limited your growth, the year to drop all the old habits that have not yielded much fruits, the year to make a whole lot of changes in our outlook and perception, the year to consolidate on the gains of the past and build a whole new future. Remember that security of whatever it is we are concerned about lies not in the hands of men but in the hands of He that created the earth.
Whatever the year would bring, be rest assured that My God whom I serve and worship shall come to your rescue for sure, should you run into any murky or troubled waters. He shall surely protect you and will bless you beyond your imaginations.
Only ensure that you be yourself, even though exercising caution in doing things but not being too cautious to even live.
The pleasure is really mine in wishing you a Happy New Year.
May you live all the days of this year and may you want each day as it comes
May you have a great year indeed.
WELCOME TO 2009. Pls check out http://www.orgsites.com/mn/successunlimited.
Bless you.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
It is October 1st. It is our National Day. On a date like this in 1960, the Union Jack was lowered and the Green White Green Flag of Nigeria was hoisted thus signifying the birth of a new nation - Nigeria.
At the time of its birth, Nigeria was full of promises. For a start, the people felt relieved from the burden of servitude and slavery, and for a second they breathed the fresh air of freedom. they hoped that the new nation shall fulfill their dreams of freedom from lack, penury and poverty; they had hoped that the new nation shall help in lifting the great burden of disease which they were carrying.
Those who fought for the Independence had hoped to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign, they had hoped to build a nation where all shall be equal stakeholders with none the superior and the other the inferior, they had hoped to have all of us united under one God despite and inspite of our diversities in religion and culture; they wanted a Country that would be so great that her impact would be felt all over the world.
Has Nigeria lived up to the dreams of our forebears?
That's a question that an in depth analysis of the current situation in the Country would tend to say no to
However, one would say that Nigeria is still on the march towards greatness. Most Governments that have come and gone have failed to help the people realize their ambitions. Majority of the citizens still wallow in ignorance, poverty and penury. A lot of Nigerians are living below the poverty line. Illiteracy rate is still quite high, school drop out rate is increasing, unemployment rate is quite high, a lot of University Graduates are dependent on Government for employment and thus waste valuable years in search of such elusive jobs. Politicians learn no lessons from the things of the past, they keep making the same mistakes over and over. Politically motivated killings and assassinations are rampant; In the Niger Delta, abduction has become the order of the day and the economy is going ga ga.
And yet Nigeria trudges on. I am fully persuaded that the day will come when we shall sing "To God be the Glory, great things He had done...."
But for now, let us pray for Nigeria. Oh God our Father in Heaven, deliver Nigeria from the hands of greedy men who covet her resources only for themselves and their 10th generation of children yet unborn. Amen.

SEPTEMBER 30TH
It is Tuesday, the 30th of September 2008. It is the end of the 9th month of the year and by tomorrow, we shall be entering the first day of the tenth month of the year.
Quite a number of Medical Doctors practicing in Abuja and the Federal Capital Territory, came out on the 8th of August 2008 and voted to elect me as the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, FCT Abuja Branch, in an election that had the trappings of a good finishing. Since then, I have been too busy trying to put up the structures to ensure that we succeed as an Exco that I have forgotten to come here and write about it and also to appreciate all those who went out of their way to make it happen.
This is therefore a write up to say a big Thank you to all those who made it possible for me to be elected the Chairman of FCT NMA.
It may be belated, but I think it is better late than none at all.
Thank you my Brothers and Sisters.
And I beg of you, not to abandon the Association to us but to always be there for meetings and other activities, to encourage us to serve you better.
Find time to always surf the net to make your own contributions towards re-positioning of our dear Association for greater heights.
God bless you real good.

ARE YOU A FORWARD THINKING MEDICAL DOCTOR?
Over the years, Medical Doctors have been thought to believe that whatever can not be cured by orthodox medicines, cannot be cured at all. The Medical college curriculum makes no room for teaching in the natural world of herbs because they i.e. herbs are claimed to cure every thing imaginable and thus cannot subject themselves to scientific study; and yet most of the ingredients used in formulating orthodox drugs are taken from natural sources or patterned after natural sources in the synthetic manner. Much as orthodox Medical practice does not give room for experimenting with natural products, yet the Medical Doctor in practice should be a kind of encyclopaedia allowing his experiences to guide him rather than “rote”
It is a basic fact that what ever orthodox medicine cannot define its cause, it terms “idiopathic”
Orthodox medicine makes the Medical Doctor conservative. He is to ensure that a product does what the makers claim it can do before administering that to his patient; he is to ensure that the patient comes to no harm as a result of the medicament administration; but yet in his practice the Medical Doctor comes across certain cases that defile all medications and then get better and even cured with natural products. It is true that there are some health problems which orthodox medicines have no answer to.
When you encounter such a case – of recalcitrant or hydra headed medical problem or challenge which defiles all medications, what do you do?
Do you allow your patient to wallow in pains, anguish and misery, hopelessly watching you pass to the other side on daily basis, or do you close your eye and ask them to seek natural therapies?
It is a really difficult nut to crack; but yet it is not all that difficult.
Experience should teach every Medical Doctor to be forward thinking. A Medical Doctor should seek natural therapies or at least allow the patient to seek natural therapies for health problems that have defied drugs and other conventional treatment.
As we all know, some modern day drugs sometimes do more harm than good (those on cancer radiotherapy can testify to it) due to their side effects; whereas natural therapies “may be” without such deleterious side effects.
Finally a forward looking Medical Doctor should be able to recognize the basic and simple fact that “man can live healthier life without drugs if he minds his diet, his environment and his life style.”
We surely have one or two lessons to learn from the aged men and women of China.
We are in search of the forward minded Medical Doctor who though being conservative as a Scientist but is dynamically so.
Are you in?
Send me a mail.

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY
TGIF - THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY. What relief this day brings to the heart of men and women alike particularly those that are in white collar jobs
Waking up by 4.30 am in the morning, preparing to leave the house by 6.00am if one must make it to the office by 8.00 am considering the hold ups that bedevil the roads in most Nigerian Cities like Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt e.t.c; and then walking up and down the office corridors and actually seating down to work in the offices, usually take their toll on the individuals on daily basis. Thus Friday is seen as a day to actually exhale. In the Federal Capital and most other places, Friday is like a National day as we see workers wearing national dresses to work. Also it is a day when most workers close early in the guise of going for prayers. Friday has thus been turned into a half day kind of in most public offices.
For most guys and gals who like to go to church on Sundays but who like clubbing, Friday provides the opportunity to actually go clubbing to let the hair down and just "enjoy" whatever life has to offer. Thus a number of persons patronize the night clubs on Friday, so that they can have enough sleep on Saturday, to be able to prepare for Sunday service and the next week
So, while many people actually loathe Monday, but all are in agreement that there should always be a Friday; thus the expression Thank God it's Friday has come to stay
Whatever Friday means to you, remember to make it worth your while
But whatever you do, remember not to overdo it, a little to the right and a little to the left leaves the Centre secured
God Bless you richly

WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF JUNE
It is the 1st of June 2008. By this date, the year has apparently approached the mid section. That supposes that whatever we had planned to do this year should have been half done by now. But peradventure it is not so, don't despair, you still have 6 months to get them done.
As we enter this new month, it has become important for me to bring to your consciousness certain issues, that deal with the way we live our lives
What is your goal in life?, What are you looking up to achieving to know that you have arrived? Does it lie in the number of exotic cars that you own? or in the number of the cars? Does it lie in the mansions that you possess? or in their locations in the choicest areas of the big cities? Does it lie in the numerous business interests that you have, scattered across the length and breadth of the globe? Does it lie in the numerous degrees (honorary and earned) that you possess and in the achievements you have wrought with them? Does it lie in the massive wealth you have acquired for yourself and your great great grand children yet unborn? Does it lie in the name that you have made for your self? or in the way you have related to others?
Do you know that "PEOPLE DO NOT CARE A HOOT HOW MUCH YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CARE?"
So, as we enter a new month, do share with me, what your ultimate goal in life is. It surely would serve as a a good lesson to me and all others who blog with me.
Waiting to read from you
Have a very happy month
God bless you richly
