Are You Really Making The Most of What You Have?

 

As the second month of the year called February ends today, have you taken a look at the past 28 days and how they went?

 How would you score yourself?

How did you fare?

 If you made a list of things to achieve this year, by the end of the second month, you should have achieved at least 16.6% of your list - BUT did you?

If one of your financial goals is to expand your income base by getting engaged with a side gig, have you started?

I ask these because it is easy to be sidetracked from the path when one is confronted with the realities on the ground.

Today is the 31st day of December 2022.

It is not only the end of the 12th month of the year it is also the end of the year 2022.

 

It is a day that is used to do a reflection on how the month and particularly the year have gone.

 

Doing a review is one thing that helps to create some clarity on what went well within the period under review and what did not.

 

A number of people will be observing the Cross over night in Churches today and would also be making new year resolutions BUT it has been proven that new year resolutions DO NOT WORK.

What works is GOAL SETTING with an ACTION PLAN to achieve the goal.

We look at our bank account to decide what’s possible.

We succumb to the feeling of hopelessness when things go sideways.

We hear things that cause us to question our dreams.

Despite all this, it’s important to remember that what we are sensing is only real beyond that moment if we allow the thoughts to continue.

Understanding the difference between what you think of as reality versus the  possibility available to you is the key to success and to effective leadership.

1.   When you’re ascending, keep your mouth shut. Don't boast. Some righteous people with the PHD certificate are waiting to do what they love to do best - pull you down

2.   Mind who you communicate your unborn ideas and plans to. Some people will steal your ideas and get them running before you even have the time to say Jack

3.   When you're working hard, don't announce what you're doing. Wait till the results speak for themselves.

4.   Yes, one good turn deserves another but don't expect that because you were good to someone, they will in turn be good to you. Some people practice UAD - USE AND DUMP

5.   Never lend money to a friend or a brother, you will never get it back. Money has scattered families and friendships.

6.   There is only one job you have on daily basis and that is HOW TO MAKE YOURSELF BETTER THAN YOU WERE YESTERDAY

7.   Beware of gossips and tale- bearers, they are usually liars and they can sell you for just a morsel of meat

Stop blaming past circumstances.
