What's Done Is Done

We often hang onto memories of hurts, wrong doings, abuses, harassment, embarrassment e.t.c. that we have suffered in the past.

We also hang onto mistakes we made in the past and continually blame ourselves for being so "silly and stupid"

Infact, it does appear that most persons just love punishing themselves for what had happened in time past and for which they simply can do nothing about again in the present time.

For some other persons, most of the time, they wish that they could turn back the hands of time, just so as to put an end to those things that happened to them, and they seem to forget that it's already in the past, and when they cannot put a check on it, they seem to flip out of the world, they literally disconnect.

It is not healthy to live in the past because though there's a movie titled "road to the past" but in real life, there's no road to the past; all roads lead to the future.

So, it's time for people to realize that "what is done, is done" it cannot be "undone" though repentance and forgiveness have a great role to play in helping us get over the mistakes of the past, but the most important thing is not to forget the lessons learnt from the misgivings of yesterday.

What's your take on this?

Let God reign supreme

  1. It is high time that we let go of past hurts and disappointments and focus on how to make the present better for the future
