yet it is simple
love is a cross to carry
yet a bell to ring

love sleeps with one eye
it cares beyond the breaking point
it's patience has no elastic limit

It’s pain is unbearably bearable

It’s wickedness only elicits a wry smile

It is dangerously dangerous and yet makes us crave it the more

It slaps with the right hand and draws close again with the left

It turns a brave soldier into a lily livered whimper

Makes an orator speechless

And makes the gallant quite indecorous

It makes the brave heart long for punishment

And turns the wise into an adroit fool
