Courage Brother - Do Not Stumble

This hymn has encouraged me severally
times even when I was on the verge of giving in.

I am certainly convinced that like me, many are passing through times of trial and temptation.

Read meaning into the words of this song and be encouraged

Remember, NOTHING LASTS FOR EVER

Every problem has an EXPIRY DATE
And this one, SHALL PASS TOO

Sing with me

Courage brother, do not stumble
Though thy path be dark as night
There’s a star to guide the humble
Trust in God and do the right

Let the road be rough and dreary
And its end far out of sight
Foot it bravely strong or weary
Trust in God and do the right

Perish policy and cunning
Perish all that fears the light
Whether losing, whether winning
Trust in God and do the right

Trust no party, sect or faction
Trust no leaders in the fight
But in every word and action
Trust in God and do the right

Trust no lovely forms of passion
Fiends might look like Angels bright
Trust no custom, school or fashion
Trust in God and do the right

Some will hate you, some will love you
Some will flatter, some will slight
Cease from man and look above thee
Trust in God and do the right

Simple rule and safest guiding
Inward peace and inward might
Stars upon our path abiding
Trust in God and do the right

Courage brother, do not stumble
Though thy path be dark as night
There’s a star to guide the humble
Trust in God and do the right

  2. Though we ought not to stumble, but the journey of life is never straightforward, sometimes we stumble, sometimes we fumble and sometimes we fail abysmally but the most important thing is to realize that no condition is permanent and that the only failure is the one who failed and refused to get up again!!!!
