GOD'S PROMISE:

98. Correct thy son and he shall give thee rest; ye, he shall give delight unto thy soul. Pro. 29:17

WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR HEART:

98. Have the Red Licorice

A compound in licorice root has been shown to spike blood pressure—especially in men who eat a lot of black licorice. Fruit-flavored licorice, however, doesn't contain the compound.

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY

FRIDAY                                                                                27. 12. 13

My friends

Once again it has pleased the Almighty to bring us back to the land of the living because of His love and care and we owe Him abundant appreciation. Thank you Jesus

It’s Friday, the last Friday of this 12th month of the year 2013 called December and actually the last Friday of the year. Isn’t God Magnificent? That He guided and guarded us from the 1st Friday of 2013 to it’s last, wonderful, glorious Alleluia be to His Holy Name, no one else would have done it but Him.

So what do you plan to do today?
I know that Christmas is still in the air, but if you are a Civil Servant and you are not officially on leave, it would be good to report at your duty post, before you  declare that your boss is wicked, better be there than be sorry, remember that ENJOYMENT never finishes, every man shall have his own enjoyment scenes when the time is ripe, don’t force it.

Let me repeat the old saying here “thank God it’s Friday”

Make it a great day

BOXING DAY

Boxing day was traditionally a day to give gifts, food and clothing to servants, postmen and tradesmen, and also when alms collected at churches were distributed to the poor.

Boxing Day, also known as St. Stephen's Day, is celebrated on December 26 - the day after Christmas. It was a way for people to make contributions of cash or ...

Boxing Day is traditionally the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts from their superiors or employers, known as a Christmas box. Today, Boxing Day is better known as a bank or public holiday that occurs on 26 December, or the first or second weekday after Christmas Day, depending on national or regional laws. It is observed in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand and some other Commonwealth nations

In South Africa, Boxing Day was renamed to Day of Goodwill in 1994. In Ireland, the day is known as St. Stephen's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Stiofáin) or the Day of the Wren (Irish: Lá an Dreoilín). In many European countries, including notably Germany, Poland, Scandinaviaand the Netherlands, 26 December is celebrated as the Second Christmas Day.[

Origins

The exact etymology of the term "boxing day" is unclear. There are several competing theories, none of which is definitive.[3] The European tradition, which has long included giving money and other gifts to those who were needy and in service positions, has been dated to the Middle Ages, but the exact origin is unknown. It is believed to be in reference to the Alms Box placed in places of worship in order to collect donations to the poor. In ancient, pre-Christian Rome, Saturnalia was a Roman celebration during which slave owners would switch roles with their slaves. Gift giving was a part of Saturnalia and benevolence to slaves was a practice which may have influenced the later December tradition of boxing and presenting of gifts to people of lesser status.[citation needed] Also, it may come from a custom in the late Roman/early Christian era, wherein metal boxes placed outside churches were used to collect special offerings tied to the Feast of Saint Stephen,[4] which in the Western Church falls on the same day as Boxing Day.
In Britain, it was a custom for tradesmen to collect "Christmas boxes" of money or presents on the first weekday after Christmas as thanks for good service throughout the year.[5] This is mentioned in Samuel Pepys' diary entry for 19 December 1663.[6] This custom is linked to an older English tradition: since they would have to wait on their masters on Christmas Day, the servants of the wealthy were allowed the next day to visit their families. The employers would give each servant a box to take home containing gifts and bonuses, and sometimes leftover food.

Date

Boxing Day is a secular holiday that is traditionally celebrated on 26 December, the day after Christmas Day, which is also St. Stephen's Day, a religious holiday.[7][8][9] When 26 December falls on a Sunday, Boxing Day in many Commonwealth countries and former British dominions is moved to 27 December. In the UK, Boxing Day is a bank holiday. If Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, the following Monday is given as a substitute bank holiday. On the occasion when Christmas Day is on a Saturday – with Boxing Day on the Sunday – the following Monday (27) and Tuesday (28) of December both become bank holidays.
In Scotland, Boxing Day has been specified as an additional bank holiday since 1974,[10] by Royal Proclamation under the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971.[11]
In Ireland – when the island as a whole was part of the United Kingdom – the Bank Holidays Act 1871 established the feast day of St. Stephen as a non-movable public holiday on 26 December. Since the creation of the Republic of Ireland following partition in 1920, onlyNorthern Ireland officially continues to use the British name 'Boxing Day'.
In the Australian state of South Australia, 28 December is a public holiday known as Proclamation Day and Boxing Day is not normally a public holiday. The holiday for Proclamation Day is observed on the first weekday after Christmas Day or the Christmas Day holiday.[12]Nowadays Boxing Day is popular in Australia as the first day of a Test cricket match held at the MCG. A Test match is also often held in South Africa starting on Boxing Day.
In New Zealand Boxing Day is a statutory holiday; penalty rates and lieu time are provided to employees who work on the day.
In some Canadian provinces, Boxing Day is a statutory holiday[13] that is always celebrated on 26 December. In Canadian provinces where Boxing Day was a statutory holiday, and it falls on a Saturday or Sunday, compensation days are given in the following week.[13]

Shopping

In Britain,[14] Canada,[15] and some states of Australia,[16] Boxing Day is primarily known as a shopping holiday, much like Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) in the US. It is a time where shops have sales, often with dramatic price reductions. For many merchants, Boxing Day has become the day of the year with the greatest amount of returns. In the UK in 2009 it was estimated that up to 12 million shoppers appeared at the sales (a rise of almost 20% compared to 2008, although this was also affected by the fact that theVAT would revert to 17.5% from 1 January, following the temporary reduction to 15%).[17]
Many retailers open very early (typically 5 am or even earlier) and offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to draw people to their stores. It is not uncommon for long queues to form early in the morning of 26 December, hours before the opening of shops holding the big sales, especially at big-box consumer electronics retailers.[15] Many stores have a limited quantity of big draw or deeply discounted items.[18] Because of the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds, many choose to stay home and avoid the hectic shopping experience. The local media often cover the event, mentioning how early the shoppers began queueing up, providing video of shoppers queueing and later leaving with their purchased items.[19] Many retailers have implemented practices aimed at managing large numbers of shoppers. They may limit entrances, restrict the number of patrons in a store at a time, provide tickets to people at the head of the queue to guarantee them a hot ticket item or canvass queued-up shoppers to inform them of inventory limitations.[18]

In recent years, retailers have expanded deals to "Boxing Week." While Boxing Day is 26 December, many retailers will run the sales for several days before or after 26 December, often up to New Year's Eve. Notably, in the recession of late 2008, a record number of retailers were holding early promotions due to a weak economy.[20] Canada's Boxing Day has often been compared with the American Super Saturday, the Saturday before Christmas.
In some areas of Canada, particularly in Atlantic Canada and parts of Northern Ontario(including Sault Ste. Marie[21] and Sudbury), most retailers are prohibited from opening on Boxing Day, either by provincial law or municipal bylaw, or instead by informal agreement among major retailers in order to provide a day of relaxation following Christmas Day. In these areas, sales otherwise scheduled for 26 December are moved to the 27th.[22][23]
In Ireland, since 1902, most shops remain closed on St. Stephen's Day. In 2009, some stores decided to open on this day, breaking a 107-year-old tradition.
In 2009, many retailers with both online and High Street stores launched their online sales on Christmas Eve and their High Street sales on Boxing Day.[24][25]

Sport

In the United Kingdom, it is traditional for the Premier League (England and Wales),Scottish Premier League (Scotland) and Irish Premier League (Northern Ireland), as well as the lower divisions and rugby leagues, to hold a full programme of football and rugby league matches on Boxing Day. Traditionally, matches on Boxing Day are played againstlocal rivals. This was originally to avoid teams and their fans having to travel a long distance to an away game on the day after Christmas Day. It also makes the day an important one in the sporting calendar. In Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, much anticipated Test matches are played on Boxing Day. Prior to the formation of leagues, a number of important rugby fixtures took place on Boxing Day notably Llanelli v London Welsh and Leicester v The Barbarians.
In horse racing, there is the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park Racecourse in Surrey. It is the second most prestigious chase in Britain, after the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Boxing Day is one of the main days in the hunting calendar for hunts in the UK and US, with most hunts (both mounted foxhound or harrier packs and foot packs of beagles or bassets) holding meets, often in town or village centres.
Australia holds the first day of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the start to the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
Several ice hockey contests are associated with the day. The IIHF World U20 Championship typically begins on 26 December, while theSpengler Cup also begins on 26 December in Davos, Switzerland; the Spengler Cup competition includes HC Davos, Team Canada, and other top European Hockey teams. The National Hockey League tends to have close to a full slate of games (11 were played in 2010), following the league-wide days off given for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.[citation needed] In some African Commonwealth nations, particularly Ghana,Uganda, Malawi, Zambia and Tanzania, prize fighting contests are held on Boxing Day. This practice has also been followed for decades inGuyana and Italy.

IT'S TUESDAY

TUESDAY                                                                            24. 12. 13

Good morning my friends

It’s a brand new day

Even though it is called Tuesday like other Tuesdays that have passed but this Tuesday is special.

Before today, there had been no Tuesday like it and when it is gone, there would be none like it. So what we ought to do with it?

Each and every day begins with a clean virgin slate, so that no matter what you did yesterday, today begins anew and you have the same rights, opportunities and priviledges as any other person to get the best out of the day as you want.

In some parlance, it is said that yesterday is a cancelled cheque, tomorrow is a promissory note, only today is a present, so you are asked to live in the NOW.

What does it mean to live in the now?
To live in such a way that the carryovers, leftovers and hangovers of yesterday do not spoil the fun of living today.

So whatever happened to you yesterday has become history and no matter how much you berate yourself for that mistake, it has been made means that it has been made, so look beyond it but learn a lesson or two from it. Live the life that you were born to live. Remember that the only Person to Whom you owe an account is your God or Creator because He is the Author and Finisher of your faith, other mortals are only there to criticize and condemn, pay less heed to them!!!!!

Today is the cash that you have my friend, SPEND IT WELL.

IT’S IN YOU

Every day as I always do, remind yourself that it is good to be alive
So, go make the most of it.

Have a great day
And I’ll see you on the morrow

Today
Bless and be Blessed

Remember that I love you as always!!!!!!!

8 DAYS TO GO TO THE END OF 2013

8 DAYS TO GO TO THE END OF 2013

GOD'S PROMISE:

93. Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuteth they the Prophets which were before you. Mat. 5: 11-12

WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR HEART:

93. Snack on Pumpkin Seeds

One ounce of seeds contains more than a third of your recommended intake of magnesium. According to Mildred Seeling, M.D., author of The Magnesium Factor, magnesium deficiencies have been linked to most risk factors for heart disease, including high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, and the increased buildup of plaque in the arteries.

MONDAY IS IT

MONDAY                                                                             23. 12. 13

My Friends.

Good morning.

Thank God for His mercies that brought us back to the land of the living today, for by our own power we would never have made it, but His love for us which He showed right from the Garden of Eden has sustained us right up to the present time. May all honour, glory, dominion and adoration be His for now and for ever – Amen

It’s Monday, the 23rd of December 2013, this month is hastening on.

What are your hands doing?
What thoughts are spewing out of your mind?
What plans are still on the drawing table?

Get to work
It is high time to put an end to that drought
The harmatan season is here
Beware if the cold, protect yourself very well

And while you do that, the Lord of harvest would sow good seeds in your life

Every day as I always do, remind yourself that it is good to be alive
So, go make the most of it.

Have a great day

HAPPY SUNDAY

SUNDAY                                                                               22. 12. 13

Good morning this morning. Hope you had a restful night, because I did.

I thank God for making it possible to us to be alive today, many who went home from sleep desired to be here today but they are not opportuned. That we are alive is not because we are holier than them, it is just of God’s own grace and mercy for which we must continue to give Him thanks and praise.

It is Sunday, a day to go worship Him in His Holy Sanctuary, kindly see that you do that.

There is nothing else we can give to God except to sing to Him and worship Him always.

Let us be merry in the Lord’s presence, even though He lives in us, but He acknowledged that a Temple is a necessary place for the congregation of His people so let us not forget the assembling together of the Saints militant.

While you do that, may He continue to look down upon you with grace from His Heavenly Throne.

He lives in me, He also lives in you, acknowledge Him today.

Have a very pleasant Sunday

Today

WEDNESDAY                                                         18. 12. 13

Greetings of the new day.
All thanks to God for bringing us back to base, we can never thank Him enough

Another day is here, the middle of the week, a day to reflect on the actions and activities of the past 2 days

What’s your score sheet like?

Remember that the man who lies to himself is sitting on a time bomb and when the bomb explodes, every thing would be gone.

In your review today of what you have been able to achieve in the past two days of this week, BE SINCERE to yourself.

Don’t sell a dummy to yourself and don’t give a counterfeit coin to your mother-in-law, it is still rotating within the confines of your relatives.

THANK GOD FOR TUESDAY

TUESDAY                                                                17. 12. 13

Greetings of the new day to you all my friends, well-wishers and family/relatives.

I thank Jehovah God Almighty Whose mercies abideth forever for this wonderful miracle of bringing my family and I back to this land of milk and honey, I am also certain that you and yours benefited from this miracle. May His Holy Name be forever praised with our hearts, minds and souls – Amen

It’s Tuesday, the 17th day of this 12th month of this year 2013, it is 8 DAYS to CHRISTMAS.

Did you set any target for the month of December? Are you on the way to meeting it up? Are there some things still waiting to be done? Well I have two pieces of news for you – the good news and the bad news.

The good news is that every new morning provides us with the opportunity to do that which we ought to have done yesterday, to make those moves we ought to have made, to refresh those dying relationships we ought to have tailored, to say those kind words to our loved ones we ought to have said days back, to go out of our way and welcome that new neighbour in our neighbourhood whom we ought to have shown some welcoming love since s/he parked over, and also to know that we ought to be dotting all the I’s and crossing all the T’s preparing to transit from one month to another.

And the bad news is --------------------------- hmmm , sorry to disappoint you but THERE IS NO BAD NEWS

So my friend, get ready to hand 2013 over to 2014 and to also hand over December to January and as you do that “fret not over things that would have been, a new month gives us a new lease of life, another opportunity to take a “breath of FRESH AIR””
Every day as I always do, remind yourself that it is good to be alive
So, go make the most of it.

Have a great day
And I’ll see you on the morrow

Today
Bless and be Blessed

GOD IS IN CONTROL

TODAY

I just want you to know that

God Is In Control

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He
shall direct thy paths.    Proverbs 3:5-6

In these unsettling times we live in, with war and rumors of war all over the world, it is important for us to remember that God does not have a "Plan B".

Somehow, we seem to think that if something doesn't go right, God has to change His plan. That is something we often have to do, because we are fallible, imperfect humans. But it is not something God has to do. Our Heavenly Father knows exactly what is going on at all times, everywhere, and is always in complete control of every situation.

To us, something may seem like a total disaster, but we would do well to realize that God is ALWAYS in control, and always knows what He is doing.

We may not understand why something is happening, or even what is happening, but then, we don’t have to understand. That’s beyond our capabilities. It’s God’s job to know and understand. It's our job to trust Him, and to bring all our prayers and supplications before Him.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Philippians 4:6)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

No matter how powerful they may be, every higher power in the world exists only because God has a reason for it. He has ordained every power for His own purpose, and we don’t have to know why. We only have to trust Him, and be faithful in praying for His guidance, His direction, and His intercession in our behalf.

And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings. (Daniel 2:21)

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Romans 13:1

Every government in the world exists because it is a part of God's master plan. Every act committed by every government is known to God, and does not come as a surprise to Him. They each serve His purpose, whether they realize it or not. Scriptures tell us that they are ordained by God. God reigns over the heathen every bit as much as He reigns over the Godly.

God reigns over the heathen: God sits upon the throne of his holiness. (Psalm 47:8)

When a tragedy occurs, it doesn't catch God off guard. For instance, God did not look down upon the earth on the morning of 9/11 and think to himself, "Oh, no! Someone has flown a plane into the World Trade Center! What am I going to do now?" Our Creator is almighty, omnipotent, and omniscient. He never has to re-think His position, or resort to "Plan B". No, God is in control of every situation, all over the world, all the time.

This is true of individuals, as well. God is always in control. When something bad happens in the life of a Christian, it is comforting to know that if God allowed it, He will get us through it. That's right!

Somehow, our God is so awesome, He can bring good out of even the worst times and events of our lives. The Bible tells us:

"For we know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord, that are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Did you catch that word, "expected'? It wasn't a surprise to God.

When we are devastated by circumstances or events beyond our control, we need to bring all our doubts and fears before our Heavenly Father. He already knows them, anyway, but He wants us to bring them to Him. As parents, we want our child to come to us, so we can talk about the child's fears and doubts, and then put them to rest. Our Heavenly Father to do the same.

God knows our every thought. He knows what we are going to do before we do it. He is never surprised or caught off guard.

Why do we worry so much about what's happening, instead of bringing our worries to the only One who can do something about them?

When are we going to realize that no matter what is happening in our lives or in the world; no matter how bad things seem, no matter how messed up things might be, GOD IS IN CONTROL !!!

No, we do not have to worry, even when things are happening that we do not understand. God is in control. All He wants us to do is trust Him, and Talk to Him.

Take time to pray! Yes start at the wake of dawn by having your first activity by your "quiet time" with the Lord.

Blessings and regards

Culled
