It is the 13th of February 2013 and by the calendar of the Church it is ASH WEDNESDAY.
Ash Wednesday signifies the commencement of the trial and temptation of Christ after He had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights - a season which the Church calls LENT
During Lent Christians are expected to keep away from food and drinks and sex and all other pleasures of this world to concentrate on spiritual life and spirituality.
We who are Christians ought to emulate Christ not only at Lent but every day of our life.
